According to
Deadline, actor William Fichtner has been set to play the villain in the Gore Verbinski-directed action western film,
The Lone Ranger. He is replacing Dwight Yoakam, who had to dropped out of the project due to scheduling conflict.
"Disney has tapped William Fichtner to replace Dwight Yoakam in The Lone Ranger. He will play the bad guy that Yoakam was set to take on before the actor-singer dropped out Friday because of a scheduling conflict."
The Lone Ranger had some production problems before they even started filming. Big budget and script were two main reasons why everything was delayed. But now, it seems that they are moving forward, with Armie Hammer, Johnny Depp and Ruth Wilson also starring in the upcoming film.
The Lone Ranger is set for May 31, 2013 release.
