Well, at the very least, we know the Batgirl movie will feature some damn good music!
Loki composer Natalie Holt has taken to Twitter to announce that she signed on to work on the score for the HBO Max project, which will reintroduce Barbara Gordon to the DCEU. Many consider Loki to be the best Disney+ Marvel series yet, and a big part of what made it so special was Holt's stirring, sci-fi-inspired score.
Holt's other TV credits include Deadwater Fell, Sticks and Stones, and Beecham House. On the big screen, she's worked on the scores for the likes of Kindred, Herself, and Paddington.
We recently learned that Leslie Grace had landed the role of Barbara Gordon in the upcoming Batgirl feature after testing for the part alongside the likes of Isabella Merced, Zoey Deutch, and Haley Lu Richardson.
Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are set to helm the DC Comics adaptation. Christina Hodson, who wrote Bumblebee and also worked on Birds of Prey and The Flash, penned the most recent draft of the script.
J.K. Simmons is reportedly in talks to reprise the role of Babs' father, Jim Gordon, but his involvement is yet to be made official.
