My guess is we won't find out about Glenn until the very last scene of the midseason finale.

I think like RorMachine, Glenn will be back just in the season finale. Maybe with Jesus by his side.

Doubt it's the wolves, unless they've gotten their hands on guns.. Which wouldn't make sense, because why not use those on Alexandria. My guess is that it's Negan's crew. Or maybe a group that they won't explain.

Are you really going to tell me they missed all those [frick]ing shots on Daryl? That was Arrow level cringle-worthy aim.

I kind of hope Glenn is dead, what with all the crying about the show runners deceiving their poor fans, and all that nonsense.

This season has been really, really bad so far. The jumping back and forth in time, the jumping around between separated factions of the group...the entire first four episodes, all mediocre (even Morgan's back-story ep was unnecessary, though Lennie James was great in it) could have been condensed into a single, strong single episode. And draggin out Glenn's fate like this isn't a wise thing to do; Gimple is only alienating and frustrating the audience, making them wait for something that should have been settled the episode after. But no, here we are, now going into three episodes later, and still nothing. It's even worse than in the last two seasons when Gimple would spend three or four episodes without Rick -- the main character in the show!

But I don't blame the writers. This is all on Gimple. As the showrunner, it's he who dictates the direction of each episode and the overall season's arch. The writers are doing their jobs as best they can, he's just not giving them much to work with. I didn't think the show could get any worse than the hugely scattershot season 4, but while season 5 was a bit better, season 6 so far has proved me wrong.

The actors, crew and writers deserve so much better than what Gimple is giving them. That [frick]er's gotta go before the show becomes straight-up irredeemable.

Yeah we should've found out about Glen this week instead of at the mid season finale. If he is dead, which I don't think he is, I think it'll be Daryl or Morgan who gets a date with Neegan and his bat.

Well, Sophia's storyline in season 2 at least served a purpose as additional fuel for the growing conflict between Rick and Shane. Rick wanted to keep looking because it was the right thing to do; Shane wanted to abandon the search and not risk anyone else from the group because it was logical thing to do. Her absence added drama to the stoyrline.

Glenn's undecided fate doesn't. It was a cliffhanger episode and had it occurred at the mid-season or season finale, it would have been acceptable. But so early in the season, and leaving it just hanging there unresolved while Gimple surrounds it with empty filler episodes? Not so much. The only thing it adds to the storyline is frustration, and the episodes we've gotten since are clearly and inarguably designed to drag the "mystery" out without contributing anything of note on their own (except for Maggie's revelation -- which was actually treated like a throwaway line and I had to skip back and watch that scene again to make sure I heard it right).

Gimple's priorities are completely out of order. Starting with season 4, it stopped being about characters dictating plot and is now the other way around; now it's the plot which drives the characters, with Gimple making them conform to a pre-determined storyline. The characters are nothing more now than marionettes. This is why for the last few seasons we've got a lot of characters doing things we know they'd never do or act in a manner we know they never would. Before Gimple took over, Beth would never have risked the lives of everyone present just to take a cheap shot at that lady cop. Tyreese, who on more than one occasion took down entire groups of Walkers with nothing more than a hammer, would never have been so stupid as to die at the hands of a SINGLE, GROANING ZOMBIE IN AN OTHERWISE EMPTY, QUIET ROOM coming at him from behind. And Glenn -- always so resourceful -- would never have let himself get cornered in [frick]ing alley, even when draggin dead weight like whats-his-name.

Gimple comes up with scenes and events he wants to see, then makes the writers get the characters there by any means necessary. It's the scriptwriting version of putting the cart before the horse. And I like that other people have finally started to catch on to that fact. Fingers crossed that Gimple's out after this season, though I'm not going to get my hopes up.

@TheBad. Next time you post a comment you should brush up on the show you are talking about. They haven't been in Georgia for all of this season and about 3-4 episodes of last season.

@scapegoatjones considering his actions so far this season, I feel the same way. I like him before and I liked the idea of him joining the group but I just don't like what they've done with his character. The wolves are attacking your home, killing your people, and you just let them leave?? GTFO man!

How can some of you have such bitter, negative comments towards the show yet still watch it every week. Don't understand that at all, if I didn't like something I wouldn't watch.
LoudLon
LoudLon - 11/10/2015, 11:38 AM
@AVPH -- Because it WAS a great show, and the first few seasons got you so invested in the characters that you don't want to just turn your back on them; you stick around and hope, hope, hope that the show gets better. But I admit that if it goes on like this for much longer, I'll likely call it quits. This season so far especially has done nothing but add fuel to the "I quit" fire, but I keep holding on to that thread of hope that things turn around -- however thin and frayed that thread has become.

@LoudLon. Fair enough. I personally still enjoy it, just think they should cut the series down to fewer episodes to avoid some of the more duller eps.
