BEWARE THE BATMAN Officially Returns May 10 On Toonami

It appears that the series' extended hiatus has finally ended. Beware the Batman won't return to Saturday Mornings but will instead air late night on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block.

Beware The Batman is a show that first aired in summer 2013 on DC Nation. While we don't know exactly why, the series was put on hiatus on October of that year. While it was supposed to return January 2014, the series was pushed back. Despite numerous beliefs that show would be canceled, it has been confirmed that it will return on May 10. And yes, this is 100% confirmed.

Due to the fact that reactions for the show were mixed, many were hoping the series would be canceled and it's DC Nation slot would be replaced with a different show. Good news. Those people don't have to worry. Rather than coming back to DC Nation, the series will instead air on Cartoon Network's Toonami block. Every episode of the series, including all 15 of the unaired episodes, will eventually air on Toonami.

The head of Toonami, Jason DeMarco, tweeted: "#Toonami fans- yes we are showing Beware The Batman, and yes we will be airing ALL of the episodes, including the ones that did not air!" New artwork was also tweeted:

Beware The Batman returns May 10 at 3 am EST on Toonami.

Series Synopsis: In the new CGI-animated series Beware the Batman, Batman is backed-up by former-secret agent-turned-butler Alfred Pennyworth and the sword-wielding heroine Katana against a rogues' gallery of foes such as Professor Pyg, Mister Toad, Magpie, Anarky, Tobias Whale and The League Of Assassins.

So they're going to let them finish the series before they completely cancel it.You think that creating a new show after only one or two season would be get expensive.Guess they can afford it.

@SpecialKail
They're showing the rest of the first season that hasn't aired yet and re-runs. I highly doubt we'll get season 2, though.

I thought Toonami only does anime? I don't have cable, so excuse my ignorance.

I wonder if it will somehow do better on Toonami than it did CN.

I think that's what they started off doing, but lately they've been airing other show's like Star-Wars: The Clone Wars and now this.

@darkknight2149

O, thats kinda weird, doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of Toonami, lol. Glad that they are still going strong.

The remaining episodes of BTB are already made. They just haven't aired. This show was never cancelled, either. It just went on a long hiatus. GL was awesome, though. Bruce Timm is working on a new Justice League animated series, so I think we can get excited for that.

YES!!! Best Batman show ever. On par with, if not better, than Batman: TAS In my opinion. I really hope they don't just cancel it after this!

@bluedude This show wouldn't be as good as it is without the CGI animation. It's not wasted. They truly ise that format to draw you into that world. The cinematography is very engaging, especially for an animated show.

I watched some of the later episodes online and, oh boy does shit get real. I get why kids wouldn't be too big on the show. I think it takes an older audience to appreciate the show to its full capacity.

Sid, trust me, like Arrow and AOS it needed to find its foundation before it could stand. Episode 14 onwards brings in the big guns and foreshadowings

Good thing toonami's getting beware the batman, but it seems like a lot of cartooned works reject shows keep getting dumped on toonami after Getting the shaft. Star wars clone wars, symbionic titan, and thundercats all cancelled way before there time( except star wars).

Really don't understand the hate for this show. Thought it was awesome. I grew up on the Bruce Timm era and freaking loved every show he produced. Beware is a different show and I like it. Really wish people watch and it gains some good ratings show them that us adults appreciate these shows more then the kids do. It would be awesome if Toonami had a a DC block. Young Justice,Green Latern, Bewar thevBatman and Batman Beyond. That would be so epic.

Yeah.......YJ and GL shows were better........shame.

I read somewhere that they were planning on a new Justice League show that would air before BvS just like Marvel did with the Avengers cartoon.
