Tune in to the season premiere of "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!" April 1 inside the Marvel Universe block on Disney XD at 12:00 p.m. ET!

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an American animated television series by Marvel Animation in cooperation with Film Roman based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. The show debuted on Disney XD in Fall 2010 starting with a 20 part micro-series.

Marvel Entertainment, LLC and Disney XD have announced that a "new Marvel Universe" programming block which includes Season 2 of Avengers and animated Ultimate Spider-Man series will begin broadcasting in April 2012.

The series initially features a team based on the roster for the original Avengers, composed of Iron Man, Giant-Man, Hulk, Thor, and the Wasp. The team is later joined by Captain America, Black Panther, and Hawkeye. In terms of tone and style, the series is based primarily on the original stories by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. However, it also tends to utilize material from all eras of the comic's run and other sources such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

@BmanHall Well the reasoning behind non worthy not being able to lift Mjolnir is that Gaia (the earth, and thor's mum, in the comics at least) won't let them. Zero gravity is a work around. A bad workaround admittedly, since I see no reason for Gaia not to put "magical" no lift clauses on mjolnir. Especially since Gaia is supposed to be some magical mother earth deity and not Earth's magnetic field literally.
