Director John Kahrs mixes computer-generated and hand-drawn animation techniques in this wonderful story of a lonely man in New York City who meets a beautiful woman on his way to work one morning. While he expects to never see her again, he ends up spying her through his window where she works in an office across the street. How does he get her attention? Well, with only a stack of paper at his disposal, he uses that in a bid to win her affections. It really is fantastic, and while it's not presented in 3D here, you can watch it in full below.

Using a minimalist black-and-white style, the short follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting… with a beautiful woman on his morning commute. Convinced the girl of his dreams is gone forever, he gets a second chance when he spots her in a skyscraper window across the avenue from his office. With only his heart, imagination and a stack of papers to get her attention, his efforts are no match for what the fates have in store for him.

Wow. I'm not much of a Disney guy nowadays, but THAT was the sweetest short I've ever seen. Might just be my favorite Disney thing at all.

(During credits)
Girl: "So, what do you do for work?"
Boy: "Well... I think I just quit my job. Does using a bunch of company paper and then running out when assigned more work count as quitting?"
Girl: "Usually. Either that, or you're probably fired."
Boy: "Oh. Well. Can you get this? I'm sort of between jobs at the moment."
Girl: "Nice try, slugger."
(She leaves)
