On Rumors That JJJ Will Not Feature In The Amazing Spider-Man:

That's what I heard recently, too; they just decided not to have the character be in the movie. Obviously it's going to be a very different take on it. I hope it does - I'm not sure what I hope. (Laughs) I just know that the movies that Sam made, especially the first two... strangely he was sort of less on his own in the third film and it kinda felt like there were a lot of cooks stirring the pot in that third film.


On Voicing J. Jonah Jameson In Ultimate Spider-Man Animated Series:

Yeah, I just started doing that. I don't know when the show's gonna be out, but yeah, J.J.J. lives on in my career at least (Laughs) for a while with the new cartoon show, yeah.

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

well that should please a lot of people, who ever does play JJ in the sequel's to Amazing Spider-Man has one hell of job, the dudes up there with RDJ, Christopher Reeve in the list of actors that absolutely OWNED the characters they played.

Someone has to start a petition to get him into the sequel to the Amazing Spider man. I know its weird because its a reboot and all but just look at the actress that continues to play Agent M in the James Bond movies regardless if its a reboot and it works great!

That's a really good example of moviemakers bringing back an actor and character to a re-booted film. I'd love them to bring J.K. Simmons back, at least for the sequel, and play Jonah J. Jameson again. I really felt he nailed it in my opinion.

They should bring back as many of the supporting cast as possible in The Amazing Spider-Man (and its sequels). JK Simmons is the most important of them all – such a flawless piece of casting should be preserved, not discarded!

J.K. Simmons was absolutely perfect as JJJ. He should be treated like the guy who played Q in the James Bond movies . . . no mater what happens to the rest of the casting, he should be the only one to play JJJ.

Bond has had changes in most of the recurring characters, but until he died, Desmond Llewelyn always played Q.

Props to JK for taking the job. I mean, I know money would have been an important factor - what with him needing the paycheck for his house and that, but he has alot of fans in this role and it's good to see an actor not shy away from the comic book universe.

I really think he should be in the new movies, especially with Ari Arad's comments about it occurring in the same spirit. He doesn't have to be as goofy as he was in Raimi's films, but I can't think of anyone better.

Good that he'll still be attached to the character though.
