Some of you may have seen our new intro attached to our Percy Jackson review. If you have not you definitely should. Even though Percy Jackson didn't tweet your twitter our intro to that review is what's going to be shown in all Goodrich Quality Theater Lobby's. Which, by the way, is pretty big news for ComicBookMovie.com. The intro attached to the below Halo review is what we are going to use for all other video reviews other then Blockbuster Movies from the Portage 16 IMAX Theater. Such as Halo Legends.

Many thanks to Time Warner for providing: Halo Legends. And a double helping of Coolness goes again to ComicBookMovie's site debugger and programmer Nate Best. If it was not for Nate and his programming genius we would all not be able to share our thoughts on what is for sure the best fan site on the Internet or anywhere else. Thanks again Nate.

Nice review as always guys. Why doesn't J-Love ever get on here? Like the shorter intro.

I think they are missing the mark with these Halo shorts. They take themselves too seriously. The most entertaining thing that's come from Halo, imo, are the Red vs Blue bits. If they could successfully integrate that kind of humor with hardcore action and special effects, without it being lame, a film would be very successful.

I personally liked the whole thing, if you’re not a fan of anime then of course you’re bound not to like most of the stuff in this - but it's always interesting to get different takes on a familiar subject.

I didn't think you really did a review, I mean what would you give it out of five - and I think you should have touched on each story and tell us what you did or didn't like about them rather than five minutes of "yeah watch the last part, it has cgi" I mean a child could say that - try expanding next time.

I finally watched it yesterday (I have NOT played any game, though) and I will say that it was good and bad. Origins 1 and 2 made my brain melt cause I hadn't a clue what they were talking about. The good thing is, it just kept getting better and better with each short (beside the fact that I just wanted to watch MFing Master Chief..)

All in fairness, it was decent.

The painting-looking one, the Babysitter one was sweeeeet, and the one with the ODSTs. Lol, gotta love the one short... "Spoiler"... with the fallen Spartan and its all like an oldschool DragonBall anime, that was hilarious.

jman: halo was never known for its graphics, it was known for its multiplayer and perfection in first person shooter controls. o and you saying the only good part was the cgi one makes you sound ignorant and that you know crap about animation. the "blurry" scene you talked about, that was intentional by the artist to make it seem like a watercolor painting. and the best animated one byfar was "the babysitter". cgi is sometimes seen as a scapegoat in the animation world!

Never got into Halo. Thought it was boring compared to GoW.Stopped playing halfway thru # 2. The Neil Blontkemp live action short was cool tho.

I will respectfully have to say, J-love, that you are waaaay off about this animation....And I don't think it has anything to do with whether the viewer is an anime fan or not, or familiar with the Halo mythos or not.

For the sake of full disclosure, i watched the first portion of the review earlier today and then stopped it (when the vid in the background started) because I did not want to suffer any spoilers. Only after watching the animation did I return to finish the review.

I just finished watching it (Halo Legends), and the stories; each one seemed to get better than the one before. True "The Package" will obviously be unanimously voted to be the best, but that is most likely because it was the most action-packed. I found "Prototype" and "Babysiters" to be by far more compelling as far as story and voice acting goes. Sure they were short on action, but action alone is never enough. Honorable mention: "The Duel" which gave us insight into the Covenant's culture (and had an amazing live-painting animation effect) and "Odd one out" which gave us some comical action to boot!

What have I learned? I learned that a review says absolutely nothing about how I will feel about the subject, and at the very least, I guess it's simply good to know that other people disliked what you liked and vice versa.

My suggestion to all yet to see it, and more so hesitant after the review up top, check it out, and make up your own mind!
