DC Nation, Cartoon Network’s home for action-packed animated series and original shorts based on characters from DC Comics (Saturdays 10:00–11:00 a.m. ET/PT), will soon be joined by a new generation of superheroes as Teen Titans Go!, a brand-new half-hour comedy-action series inspired by Warner Bros. Animation’s original fan-favorite series Teen Titans, shows the humorous side of being a teenage hero.

Teen Titans Go! features the return of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg in all-new, comedic adventures. Character-driven comedy is the order of the day as this new take on the super hero series focuses on the funny business that happens between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. They may be super heroes who save the world every day … but somebody still has to do the laundry! With the ability to turn into any animal or detach their robotic limbs, teenage pranks reach a whole new level. And even super heroes have to take Driver’s Ed. to get a license – especially after wrecking the Batmobile on an unauthorized joy ride to impress a girl!

Featuring the principal voice cast from the original series – Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire – Teen Titans Go! recaptures everything audiences loved about the original show, while adding laughter at the lighter side of being a super hero. Executive produced by Sam Register (Green Lantern: The Animated Series, The Looney Tunes Show, Teen Titans), with Michael Jelenic (ThunderCats, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Aaron Horvath (MAD, El Tigre) as producers, this side-splitting series will premiere on Cartoon Network in 2013 as part of the DC Nation programming block.

I hope this leading up to giving us an ongoing rotation of cartoons during DC Nation. For example after Green Lantern: Season 1 finishes, then Teen Titans Go! takes over it's spot. When the first season of that ends, then GL: Season 2 takes over. So now I hope they announce something to take Young Justice's place during its "offseason"

@Froggy

And "Animal Man". All three of those shorts have more potential in being a full length cartoon than Teen Titans . . . for the second time.

Just another lame-ass mockery of the art of comics; I'm sure it will suck as bad if not worse than Ultimate Spiderman!

This just sounds kiddy and stupid, lame character designs and and unnecessary childish stories as @cartoonlife said ^^^^^ to me, this sounds like a lamer version of Ultimate Spiderman.

Why don't they just bring back the Teen Titans tv show because that cartoon was fantastic. Slade aka Deathstroke was one of the best villains in cartoons.

I'm glad there bringing back the teen titans. I hope there will be more cameos from different dc superheroes.

@Freshkicks1212-I don't think any cartoon can be compared to ultimate spiderman. Ultimate spiderman is just... awful.

So this gets a green light and they cancelled Batman Brave and the Bold? Unacceptable. At least give Plasticman from Batman:B&B his own show.

Sadly, this sounds like it's going to be as silly as the early episodes of the first series. Those things are just unwatchable now. And look, I grew up in the '70s and '80s, and enjoy campy, silly humor as much as anyone. Ultimate Spidey is just as aggressively silly. The only things that make it watchable are the guest heroes and villains.

The original Titans series got better later on when they stopped being so silly and started doing some more serious stories, often based on the comics. The ongoing storyline with the Brotherhood of Evil in the last season was greatness.

If a lighter-tone series is what the network wants, then why not bring back the Brave and the Bold? THAT show really WAS funny, clever, and original. Hey, they even made Aquaman really fun and cool. Outrageous!

I used love the Teen Titans series!!!
But this look idk...I hope this isn't the animation they are using.
But I'll watch it anyways probably

plasticman - 6/8/2012, 11:17 AM
@ comicb00kguy- I agree with you. Speaking of Brave and the Bold, what other show could have done an episode spoofing Scooby Doo, Space Ghost, and the show's own demise?

Bring on a Suicide Squad or even Lobo show for Adult Swim. That might be some original shows that I could tolerate other than Family Guy and King of the Hill.
StarSpangledBruce
StarSpangledBruce - 6/8/2012, 12:09 PM
The animation style looks like something off of My Life as a Teenage Robot. Very different from the original show's style.

But if I can thoroughly enjoy Ultimate Spider-Man, then I'll LOVE this show.

Young justice for the older watchers, Titans Go! for the younger ones who would not get/understand the plot of Young Justice. Espically with the Roy/Red Arrow arch going on now. I have a feeling Young Justice is about to get a whole lot darker.

I'm glad that the Teen Titans are returning (with the original cast!) , but if DC Nation wanted to use the Titans as a way of bringing in a more kid-friendly series to their line-up, why couldn't they just continue in the same art style & storytelling in which the show was originally presented? Compaired to Young Justice & Green Lantern: TAS a SIXTH SEASON of Teen Titans would've fit the bill just fine.

That being said I'll DVR this show along w/ the rest of the DC Nation block (and probably buy it on DVD to complete my collection)........ Here's hoping they'll bring us a Plastic Man series.

"but if DC Nation wanted to use the Titans as a way of bringing in a more kid-friendly series to their line-up, why couldn't they just continue in the same art style & storytelling in which the show was originally presented?"

Thats the thing. Dc doesnt want to do the Teen Titans right. They want to screw them, and everyone who ws a fan of them and watched tha show with dedication.
