Production has ceased. Turns out "Spectacular Spider-Man" was cancelled after a run of two seasons. At least there's some good. "Ultimate Spider-Man" series also has halted since the Disney purchase. CURSE YOU DISNEY !!!

Man!!! I liked this show a whole lot. It had well thought out storylines. I loved how they built up Harry and Norman Osborn's arc. Just a fresh take on the whole Spider-Man world. They did a nice job of blending Raimi's Spider-man with the classic comics.

This show will be missed.

Disney is the cartoon king, so I'm sure they have something up their money grubbing sleeves to capitalize on the popularity of their not quite as new acquisition of Marvel characters. If they don't, they are very stupid.

the only way they can possibly do better with this show is to bring in more marvel characters (such as xmen, iron man, cap, etc), do a better theme song, and draw better art! then (with just a few differences) use the same basic story of the spectacular spiderman show! and no alternate world or any thing that's just confusing! at least even though it lasted 4 only 2 seasons i know of 1 show that was basically perfect

That's very unfortunate... Spectacular Spider-Man was a GREAT cartoon, and it was just getting so much better in the second season. I hate it when good shows get cancelled. I am still very upset with Fox about Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. I actually really liked that show.

From what I understand Wolverine and the X-Men was cancelled because of poor ratings and SSM was cancelled because Marvel didn't want two Spiderman cartoons out at the same time.

Not having good ratings???
Maybe it was the same old b.s. where they change the days, change the time slot, and in the case of SSM change the network it was on!!!! Wonder why shows can't seem to do well?? Petitions...

Just another case of quality not meaning a thing, next to revenue. Shows such as Spidy, or Gargoyles, another show by Gregg. It begs the question... why should we inverst our time and attention in a continuing story, get to care about the characters, when you're just gonna yank the plug out, and re-boot when it doesn't make enough money.
So who's fault is it? Not Wiseman. But the corporate incompetance.. read: Lack of promotion. I found out about this series halfway through season one, and by the time I had found out where season two was running, the second season was over.

Remember Gargoyles? Two great seasons of awesome storytelling, then dummed down for the kiddie set for a third. For the DVD release, they issued half a Season Two, because of dissapointing revenue for One.. then refused to issue the second half of two. They didn't even promote it.

I'm done. No more re-boots. It'll only get cancelled when I get in to it again.
