DC Nation and Cartoon Network have released a plot summary and 11 images from Saturday morning's episode of Young Justice, "Insecurity," which airs immediately after Green Lantern: The Animated Series at 10:30AM Eastern/7:30AM Pacific.

i think Black Spider came before Spiderman not sure I could be wrong but I think I'm right,so Spiderman is ripping them off.

Just to set the record straight - Black Spider made his first appearance 14 years after Spiderman. Black Spider does look cool tho in these screen shots, it's hard to make a spider related superhero that isn't like Spiderman. I dont mind tho as Marvel dont own spiders.

way to go red arrow, you got the arrow on the wrong side of the bow. oh and little green arrow girl, its a compound bow. You kinda have to pick lefty or righty, you can't have both. haha in the last picture red arrow isn't even holding the string, its like 3 inches behind his head while his hand is up by his mouth. WTF??? Oh well, still an improvement over the hunger games promo shot where shes holding the string 3/4 of the way to the top instead of the middle, and the arrow is laying across her wrist.

Just a quick point on the show and the Black Spider.

Young Justice is created by the (in my opinion) GREAT Greg Weisman. His other two big credits are Gargoyles (my all time personal favorite) and Spectacular Spiderman. The voice of Black Spider in this episode was Josh Keaton, who voiced Spiderman in Spectacular Spiderman and in several other versions.

Just a cool little call back to his previous work, while using characters inside the DC universe. I thought it was brilliant. He always leaves a few little Easter Eggs for the more sophisticated viewer.

The guy who voiced Black Spider was Josh Keaton too, the guy who voiced Spidey on Spectacular Spider-man and the last few Beenox games, I was super confused for a sec...awesome cameo though for sure.

It's easier to do an ensemble film with Marvel characters because of the "Human Element"That Lee.Kirby,and Ditko added to all of their creations and I have been an avid DC reader since I was a child.It would be complicated to do a JLA film because more than half of the team (if they used the big 7)are the equivalent of gods and how would that work?It's easy to say it would be great but with Marvel the character development is built in,I believe this is part of the reason that most superman movies sucked.How many times can a godlike alien be bested by a bald real estate tycoon?

And Young Justice is new,it deserves a chance.Compare Batman:TAS to JLU and you'll see a massive improvement in storytelling and animation
