New Promo Art From AVENGERS ASSEMBLE Animated Series

Some new promo material from the recently announced Avengers Assemble animated series (which will replace Disney XD's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes) has found its way online. Check it out after the jump.

Earlier today, we heard that Marvel's upcoming Avengers animated series, Avengers Assemble, will be similar to the tone of the recent Avengers blockbuster film. The series will replace Disney XD's currently running series Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (which is now in its second and, unfortunately, final season). Now, five new pieces of promo art from the series are now online. Featuring Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Falcon, check them out below:








Avengers Assemble will premiere sometime in 2013.

I'm still very unhappy to see this replacing Avengers:EMH, which is right below Batman:TAS as the best superhero animated series ever. I just hope that the people responsible for this show are longtime fans of the Avengers, as the creators of EMH obviously are.

Seriously, unless the animation style looks EXACTLY like this, which i highly doubt, what's the point of showing all this "promo" art? Just give us stills from the show or somethin.

I must say... I applaud this. While I was glad to see the latest "attempt", it was still too childish. Even the artwork was not great animation. Now, IF this is REALLY the artwork, I hope they do it up right now.

Don't do it for kids, do it for teens and young at hearts, and kids will watch it to feel cool... Nobody will watch it if it's done for kids... not even kids.

Even as a kid, I saw reruns of the old Marvel cartoons.. and I was like.. "they watched this crap?" I LOVE the comics, hated their cartoons. Now I LOVE their movies, and hate Bendis!!! lol

hope animation looks closer to that and less like AEMH. Batman TAS was a good series but since then it seems most animation has followed style wise. I'm not a huge fan of figures that contain 90% of their body mass in the chest head and arms, leaving ridiculously small hips and legs.

@CrowPirate1: Why applaud this? That's obviously comic art, not animation art, so aside from showing the general outfits of the characters you can't really judge anything from it. And Loeb has specifically stated that they want the new show to be less complex than EMH, with the entire thing being episodic and without story arcs so that you can tune in randomly to any of them and not feel confused. Very strong odds are that it will be more childish, not less.

I wonder why they chose the Falcon over say a Black Panther, Dr. Strange or even Ant-Man? You'd think if this show will be akin to the recent movie, not sure if you knew there was one, they would choose someone in their plans. Falcon seems like a tough character to translate to screen.

Looks like good art work. Hopefully this is what the animation will look like. If it turns out to be more child like, you can't really get mad. I mean, cartoons are generally made for little kids. Especially on the Disney channel. At least with a son on the way I'll have an excuse to watch this lol.

@Gmoney84 yea only way they can do falcon is like emh like he needs the avengers help or something but for marvel to cancel emh is stupid they should have said ultimate sm is 5 years before emh or something because this will not be good as emh

What the hell!! Falcon... really!. What about Black Widow and Hawkeye? You know the ones form the movie! If you really need to add something new try Black Panther or Vison. Falcon.. you have to be kidding me. This is why Marvel may own DC in movies but DC will always own Marvel in animation. DC does not change things around to suit there needs (at leaset most of the time). FALCON.... really!

Looks great.

However, this must imply quite a team of animators.

Its better looking than the movies (Ultimate Avengers, Iron Man, Doctor Strange etc).

Falcon's better off as a sidekick in a Captain America only medium. I wouldve rather have seen Black Panther in the mix instead of him. I rather hope this doesn't suck. Still wondering why the hell they canceled A: EMH.

Could be awesome.

Hope we see lots of different members beside Hulk, Thor, Cap and Iron Man.
Hawkeye, Black Widow, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Namor etc.

I still think they should take the writers from EMH and move them to this show, and have it just continue on from where EMH left off. Change the title to Avengers Assemble, change the voice actors, change the roster, whatever. But EMH had great stories. Don't change that. We don't need another origin. On EMH, Antman has already left. You can write off Wasp and Black Panther if you want and add Falcon & Widow to the team easily without rebooting. I understand the desire to have everything in-house. But there's no need to trash a good thing and start over.
