SDCC '13: 'BEWARE THE BATMAN' Angling To Introduce The Outsiders?
Last Sunday, "Beware the Batman" held a SDCC panel where the new cg animation show's producers screened an upcoming episode, discussed the show's villains and revealed the latest superhero guest star.

Admittedly, I have a bit of a soft spot for the latest superhero guest star reveal on Cartoon Network's "Beware the Batman." Rex Mason aka Metamorpho is a character that I feel is vastly underutilized and has such an interesting powerset. He'll be voiced by Adam Baldwin in an upcoming episode. Also joining the voice cast is the lovely Emmanuelle Chriqui who will voice Sapphire Stagg, girlfriend of Mason. In the pilot episode of Beware the Batman, we were introduced to Simon Stagg, the CEO of Stagg Industries and an instrumental figure in the creation of Metamorpho.
Also, last Saturday's episode featured a cameo from Barbara Gordon (voiced by Batman: The Animated Series' Tara Strong) who showrunners confirmed will feature more prominently in upcoming storylines. The showrunners also teased that the second half of the season will introduce a well-known villain and left the audience with the clue that his name includes the letter "d" (Harvey Dent?).
With the introduction of Metamorpho confirmed and Katana already featuring prominently as a supporting character, we already have three out of the six members who formed the team in "The Brave and the Bold #200" back in 1983. All we need are Halo, Geo-Force and Black Lightning and we'll have the original squad.
