Adam McKay Comments On Involvement With ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

Ant-Man star Paul Rudd and Anchorman writer/director Adam McKay rewrote the screenplay. While we know Peyton Reed is coming back, will McKay reteam with Rudd for Ant-Man and The Wasp?

Anchorman and The Other Guys director Adam McKay recently made the jump from comedy to drama with The Big Short, and when The Hollywood Reporter caught up with the filmmaker recently, they were quick to ask him about his involvement with Ant-Man and The Wasp. All we know about the Ant-Man sequel as of right now is the fact that Peyton Reed is in talks to direct, but it sounds like Paul Rudd may be writing the screenplay solo if McKay is unable to find the time to join him. "I was talking to [Paul] Rudd about it the other day. We’ll see what happens, but that would certainly be fun," he teased. "I loved working with Marvel. And I have a couple of projects in development. One of them is more dramatic, one’s more comedy, still with a little bit of political teeth to it. And there’s a TV show idea I’ve been kicking around." No mention of Inhumans there (which McKay has been rumoured to be involved with for a while), but here's hoping he finds the time for Ant-Man and The Wasp at least, eh? We'll have to wait and see...
