Last December, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors was found guilty on one count of intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree by a New York jury following a March 2023 altercation with his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
They met while working on the Marvel Studios movie (she was a movement coach) and between this and other recent allegations of physical and emotional abuse, Majors' mainstream acting career is almost certainly over.
Now, the Creed III star takes centre stage in a bizarre video which sees the actor interacting with tourists on a TMZ Tour bus. Majors has some odd exchanges with fans and the tour guide before singing "Happy Birthday" to them and driving off. This isn't the first video of the actor which has raised eyebrows as he previously made headlines for breaking up what many felt was a staged fight between two high school girls.
A second video has also been published in which Majors strongly alludes to a new acting gig and admits he wasn't surprised by Jabbari's lawsuit.
Despite the very serious allegations made against Majors, it's hard not to be concerned about the actor's mental health. Both videos seem to paint the picture of a man who is struggling and, regardless of what happens when he's sentenced next month, we hope the Loki star is getting the help he needs.
The actor is thought to be facing up to a year behind bars and is also being sued by his ex-girlfriend for defamation and battery following comments he made during an interview with ABC.
Marvel Studios' plans for Kang remain unclear. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has lost its title and, as noted, several reliable sources have claimed that the plan was to pivot from the time-travelling big bad after the Ant-Man threequel flopped. Majors was fired from the role after the jury reached its verdict and we're expecting Kang to be recast before another villain emerges as an even greater threat to the Multiverse.
Not too long ago, a rumour started circulating online suggesting Fear the Walking Dead star Colman Domingo is the frontrunner to replace Majors.
"Whatever they’re working out with Jonathan [Majors] and his legacy in the MCU, I feel like I just have to be in my own lane, whatever that is," the actor said, addressing the reports head-on. "There’s hearsay, there’s conversations, but I’m not even sure because I feel like nothing comes to me until something’s real. But I’d be down with it."
