RESULTS: Here's How You, ComicBookMovie.com's Readers, Rated ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA!

You recently weighed in and rated Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania in our poll and something tells us you won't believe how this one played out! It's certainly not a result that warrants a green splat...

By JoshWilding - Feb 23, 2023 02:02 PM EST

There's long been a divide between fans and critics, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania certainly seems to be the latest example of that. While the threequel hasn't been quite as warmly embraced as past MCU movies, the Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes is considerably higher than the one generated by critics (84% vs. 48%).

Marvel Studios appears to be aware that they have a quantity over quality issue, and many believe former Disney CEO Bob Chapek is to blame for that as he looked to bolster Disney+'s offerings.

Bob Iger is back in charge these days, of course, and we're hoping the likes of Eternals, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania are mere blips on the radar across the wider Multiverse Saga.

Over the weekend, we asked you, ComicBookMovie.com's loyal readers, to cast your vote and rate the latest Marvel Studios movie. Thousands of you chimed in with your opinions, and the consensus below definitely isn't one we would deem "Rotten."

36.93% of you voted Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ movie, while 31.98% of you went with an impressive ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Next up was ⭐⭐⭐ with 12.64% before we take a major drop down to ⭐⭐ (10.89%) and ⭐ (7.56%). Needless to say, the vast majority of you clearly don't think this was a bad movie!

"Despite being an example of why a movie shouldn’t be shot almost entirely in The Volume," we said in our own review earlier this month, "every time Jonathan Majors steps on screen as Kang, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is an epic tale to astonish and a monumental chapter in the Multiverse Saga."

There's currently no word on plans for Ant-Man 4, though we do anticipate the characters being a big part of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty based on how this story plays out!

Let us know how you feel about Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania being a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ movie in the comments section.

@SonOfAGif - "better material" more appearances doesn't mean anything

@Taonrey - Loki was garbage to you? Dude, Loki was arguably the best Disney+ content thus far.

@SonOfAGif - again better material, more doesn't mean better. Loki was fine, not good not bad just fine. Shang chi is in the same boat as BP1 and WW1. A good movie hurt by it's 3rd act. Doctor strange 2 was a mess so idk why I should be looking forward to 3.

Agreed on Loki being the best marvel Disney+ show but that also isn't saying much

It is not the MCU's best. There are some unresolved/unaddressed issues from previous films and it creates some issues for the future. The plot is very simple.

But just from a movie-going experience, it's a good time. And Jonathan Majors is a terrifying villain.

If you wanted MODOK to be a legitimate villain in this or any other film, you will be disappointed. Not sure why you would want that, because MODOK is super lame anyway, but there it is.

@SummersEssex - They seem to have fallen into the classic Hollywood trope of killing any and all villains of consequence. I wonder if gun will do things differently?
