Recent casting notices for Marvel's Ant-Man adaptation indicate there are additional extras-heavy scenes to be filmed in Georgia all this week, but it's now safe to say those scenes may not involve Hank Pym as Michael Douglas has wrapped. "Finished my last days on Ant-Man this weekend," noted the veteran actor on Facebook yesterday. "Had a great time, a new experience with all these blue screens!" The post also features a photo of Douglas on set alongside Mike Runyard, his "stuntman and golfing buddy for the for the last 26 years, including films like Black Rain and The Game." Thanks especially to a heads up via Vixen Varsity, check out the photo(s) below!

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, David Dastmalchian, Michael Pena, Bobby Cannavale, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, Wood Harris, John Slattery and Gregg Turkington with multi-hyphenate T.I., and the film will release July 17, 2015

Remember when you geniuses said GotG would be Marvel's first flop? It was basically guaranteed by the usuals on this site to fail, and turns out to be the highest-grossing and possibly most enjoyed CBM of the year.

Edgar Wright said that they took his scrip and they sent it to their crappy writers and brought it to him butchered. I have a feeling that they do that to a lot of lot of their movies, that's why they rarely surpass mediocrity, even the Winter soldier, you can see that someone's telling them we need an action scene here and here and here and we have this reference here and here...

Am looking forward to this film despite my issues with the continuity changes.

So much potential for how this character can translate to the silver screen.

Size shifting can be a really fun stuff in a theater. And the costumes looks super dope.

Just noticed Hank Pym's chest. I really hope that's not a spoiler, but if Marvel's allowing it....

I want to see a marvel movie with actual feeling behind it, yes marvel is great at entertaining us but there is rarely any character development. I want to see the inner workings of these characters. Hank Pym always had a insane battle between between the hero and the bad being a hero cost humanity. also it seems marvel has become just like Michael Bay who is a genius at product placement.

@DarthSandwich -

Many do. Look at its IMDB rating. Its only a handful of fanboys who talk about it as a failure.

I'm not a fan of the movie - but most directors wish their CBMs wish their films were as successful and beloved.
