Marc Webb Teases AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Supervillian Prison
The producers of The Amazing Spider-Man openly discussed the introduction of The Sinister Six after the conclusion of the first film and it appears that's exactly where we are headed as director Marc Webb teased the introduction of , which is the equivalent of Arkham Asylum in Spider-Man lore.

Kevin Feige Talks IRON MAN 3 Final Battle, Flashback, Tony Stark’s Playboy Persona And More
Joss Whedon has seen Iron Man 3 and it left him excited and seemingly nervous about how to incorporate Iron Man and his supporting team into The Avengers 2. Seems a little odd really since Joss stated just last month that he's fairly deep into the script for his Avengers follow up and I'm sure he had the screenplays to the other Phase II films on hand while doing so. Maybe the original ending changed?

Ryan Reynolds Has Very Little Interest In Doing JUSTICE LEAGUE
Unless....the project has the right director and the right script. Highlighting Whedon's Avengers as a film that got it right, Reynolds seemed to communicate that his days as Hal Jordan might truly be over.

Edgar Wright's ANT-MAN Test Footage Recorded!
Good luck finding it now, but Edgar Wright's brief, proof-of-concept short for Marvel's Ant-Man finally found its way online after being screened at last year's San Diego Comic-Con. The footage was rough but still very impressive and should quell any fan fears about the shrinking hero.

New STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS International Trailer
We witnessed just how dastardly Benedict Cumberbatch's 'John Harrison' will be in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek follow up thanks to the latest international trailer. Past interviews described Harrison as a one-man weapon of mass destruction and that aspect of his character was definitely on display here.

I think Marvel/Disney should pull the trigger and pay whatever it takes to get all of their properties back. Then we don't have to worry about Sony and Fox trying to mash everything together to get their "Avengers" cash cow. It took Marvel years to build to the Avengers. They pulled their heads from their butts and figured it out. Spider-Man reboot wasn't bad, better than Tobey and Kirsten. But look at Fox, Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider...UGH! Fantastic Four, Susan looks like a hooker, Dr. Doom is intimidating as a poodle with a napolean complex. And Wolverine....what they did to Deadpool was just WRONG. Sony, not so bad. Fox is so flippin stupid they should have Marvel just stand behind them with a bat and crack em in the head everytime this think about a bad idea. Come on Disney, you have the money. Take em back. Make em what they need to be.

"Spiderman 3 suffered from three villains. LETS HAVE 6"

Spider-Man 3 suffered from a lot more than that, namely a director who wanted one major villain, Harry in play the way he was, and then Avi Arad pretty much shoved Venom down his throat (which Raimi was resistant to until he found a take he could live with, which a lot of fans took issue with).

In short, if you make it part of the plan and write for that scenario, it can actually work so long as each villain serves a specific purpose in the story at their appointed time. While I don't think we'd see the full Six in all out action until a third film, it'd be a novel approach to pull the trigger on that in a sequel rather than adhere to formula and just kind of inch toward that.

@terminalvoyd ..I really enjoyed seeing Peter in the symbiote suit (even if Venom was a mess), and I hope that's something they can improve on in the new series. At this point however, I don't have tons of faith, when as a huge Spidey fan I shouldn't have found myself bored while watching Webb's movie.
I'd be happy for them to change my mind, but it's a shame that I have found more 'replayability' with SM3 than with TAS.

Ryan Reynolds can't really act.
I know he has the face and he has the body, but he really lacks the skills. he should stay away from any cbm.

TONYTONY

So TASM is desperate to be like Batman because of the inclusion of a prison that holds super-powered villains? How is that being "desperate"?
