The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Indya Moore (Queen & Slim; Pose), Jani Zhao (Sentimentos; South), and Vincent Regan (300; Troy) have joined the cast of James Wan's upcoming DC superhero adventure, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Randall Park (Ant-Man and the Wasp; WandaVision) has also been confirmed to return, reprising his role as Dr. Stephen Shin from the first installment.
Moore is playing the DC Comics character Karshon, a tiger shark with telepathic abilities, while Regan will take on the role of Atlan, the ancient ruler of Atlantis. As for Zhao, she'll be playing an original character created for the movie named Stingray, but it's unclear whether she'll be a friend or foe to Arthur Curry and company.
In addition to the fan-favorite Jason Momoa as the titular DC superhero, the supporting cast will feature Amber Heard (Mera), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (David Kane/Black Manta), Patrick Wilson (Prince Orm Marius), Temuera Morrison (Tom Curry), and Dolph Lundgren (King Nereus). Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbæk was previously the only announced newcomer, having joined the ensemble cast in an undisclosed villain role.
Still no confirmation on Nicole Kidman or Willem Dafoe, but it seems more probable than not that they'll all also be back in some capacity as Atlanna and Vulko, respectively.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to hit theaters on December 16, 2022.
