Samuel L. Jackson has confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen will be playing Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff stating:


“I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year,” Jackson said of “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the next film to begin shooting in the Marvel universe. ”I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”

Haven't seen her in anything, hopefully she does Scarlet Witch good. I have recently started watching (and am caught up on) The Blacklist. James Spader is going to make for a SPECTACULAR Ultron. Watching that show, you can see why Whedon only had him in mind.

Excellent casting. Any shred of doubt should be cast aside after seeing her performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene. The film itself isn't my cup of tea, but Olsen really hit it out of the park.

I'd be more concerned with the costume than her. She looks good, give her darker hair I think she can pull it off. Curious to see how she'll turn out in Oldboy and Godzilla!

But they have a great second choice.
