Should Cobie Smulders reprise her Avengers role as Maria Hill in Marvel's 2015 sequel, it'd mark the character's fourth appearance if you include her Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cameo and small part in next summer's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But speaking recently with the Calgary Herald, the Canadian actress seemed almost certain that Maria Hill will indeed take part in the Age of Ultron.
“I think I’m in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret,” she said. “I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it.” Regardless of the duties writer-director Joss Whedon gives Maria Hill this time around, Cobie Smulders says she's game for anything. “I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting,” she said. What do you think?
Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen in negotiations to join, The Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon from his screenplay, and is slated to begin production in March 2014 and release on May 1, 2015.
