Everything Wrong With Marvel's AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron made a ton of money this summer, but it didn't quite score as well with the audience as its predecessor did. The folks at CinemasSins have released their latest "Everything Wrong With" video taking a look at Joss Whedon's magnum opus.

Cinemasins' videos are the epithome of nitpicking.

Honest Trailers and HISHE ate 1000x better than these.

I walked out of AOU like 'meh'. But now that I have the digital version, and I've watched it casually a couple times, I really enjoy it. Its flaws are glaring, but its downright fun! Though the farm scene make me snooze.

Did he not see the part in The Avengers when Hulk tried to lift Mjolnir and failed?

After rewatching AOU I've come to a conclusion on why I don't like it as much as Avengers 1.

It's the same damn movie as Avengers 1.

Hulk getting mind controlled, again.
Villain with an army that is just there to be beaten the shit outta that poses no threat, again.
Avengers arguing with themselves, again.
Avengers looking for Loki's specter, again.
Avengers saving a train which pretty much was Avengers saving the Helicarrier, again.
Superpowered villain can't even beat up Captain America when they fight in the middle of the movie, again.
Shit ton of forced quips, again.

I mean for a film that was described as the Empire Strikes Back of Marvel films, it's more like Hangover 2 in terms of it's the same and or similar plot as the first one.

Not that AOU is as bad as Hangover 2 because it's not. It's better but just that from a plot standpoint it's pretty much the same as the first.

People should stop watching cinemasins so the guy realizes that he went over his head and his new videos are just lame.
Before they were shorter and 10 times funnier because the sins were just jokes. Now he really tries to analize the movie but ends up as nitpicky and too long

"Maybe read some of the criticisms rather than ignore them. The Avengers is vastly superior over AOU."

read critics before forming an opinion?? now i get why people hate AOU....

@HAILHYDRA - That's also one of the problems I have with these videos. The guy clearly doesn't pay attention to the films he talks about. He even calls the shield-retrieving tech presented in the beginning of the film 'mind control' in the end battle.

Have you seen The Room? Most perfect movie of all time.

The writing in AOU was vastly inferior to Avengers. They tried to cram in too many jokes and it felt like they mailed it in.

Loki - "I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose"
Ultron - "I can't physically throw up in my mouth"

134 was such a cringeworthy scene! smh

The entire film suffered from the nonsense they tried to pull from including the twins in this film. The end credits after TWS had me really pumped to see where they were taking these characters but they turned their brains off when it came to their allegiance with Ultron. There inclusion in this film was honestly meant for nothing more than a set up for more characters in Civil War.

However, I must say that he actually gave a cinema sin away to one of the most redeeming things about Ultron in this film. He's still floating around somewhere consciously building upon the information he already obtains. Plus Vision claimed that he didn't want to kill Ultron because he personally found him to be unique.

The one thing I did think after seeing Avengers AOU is how much I want a Vision film.

Brainiac13
Brainiac13 - 10/16/2015, 7:47 AM
The biggest flaw to AoU; They set it up to advertise for future films...which was the opposite to the 1st one...

Vision was the best thing.....Ultron the worst...

AOU was and is still one of my Favorites... Despite the people that try to act like its a let down, I think this movie delivered on majority of what it was suppose to deliver. and Hulk vs Hulkbuster >>>> Thor vs Hulk.
