Comic book fans should bow down and thank ESPN and the NFL for providing all the extra capital to Disney for the MCU.

NFL and ESPN should thank Marvel for the extra funding they'll be getting in the future.

I don't hate the costumes,they are fine for the most part but really think they are to "busy" looking,so much unneeded detail just for the sake of being different or whatever reason.

I actually like the simplicity of Quicksilver look. Given the fact he moves fast,glad there's no over the top outfit...I'm sure it will come later once he joins the team.

@staryeezus

ESPN is worth roughly 10 times all of Marvel entertainment combined and that was before their new lucrative NFL and Division 1 football broadcasting deals. Nothing will ever touch the popularity and economic viability of football. Nothing.

Little off topic but with rumours of Doctor Strange casting news this weekend, one of the top bookmakers in the UK have opened a market on it.
Anyone think they could make some money on this?

@lubedup not too sure what they are thinking, will be interesting to see how the market moves over the next 24 hours as they will shorten odds massively if they see a lot of money on one person

That's a big deal and all, until you step outside of the American audience. ESPN, for all it's worth, isn't doing shit for Disney internationally. Marvel is helping to them expand their territory, and Disney, smartly so, understands US isn't the center of the universe.

American football may be the greatest thing in the US, but there are greater markets. I don't see them touching that China money. And keep in mind Marvel Studios was building momentum with or without Disney's help in the beginning (thanks to Sony, actually). They must've been doing something right to get Disney interest in their potential.
