AVENGERS: ENDGAME - Another Iron Studios Statue Shows Captain America Racing Into Battle With Mjolnir

The sight of Captain America wielding Mjolnir will go down as one of the most iconic scenes in the MCU's history, & a new Iron Studios statue offers a closer look at Steve Rogers unleashing Thor's powers.

Avengers: Endgame is well on its way to becoming the biggest superhero movie of all-time, but regardless of whether it manages to catch up to Avatar, it's destined to be forever remembered as the most epic comic book adaptation in history. After all, does any other movie in this genre come close to delivering something as epic as that final battle?

The highlight there was obviously the sight of Captain America rushing through the battlefield with Mjolnir in hand, which is something fans have been waiting to see on the big screen for a long time.

Ultimately, Steve Rogers unleashing the power of Thor and wielding his hammer meant that Earth's Mightiest Heroes were able to turn the tide against Thanos and save the entire universe. Now, a new Iron Studio 1/10 scale statue has been revealed depicting Captain America in action.

So, to check out these Avengers: Endgame images, simply click on the "View List" button below.

Captain America may have had a relatively small role in Avengers: Infinity War, but the Russo Brothers more than made up for that with Avengers: Endgame by giving Steve Rogers a meaty part to play from start to finish. However, it was what the Star Spangled Avenger did during the final battle that fans will be talking about for years to come.

Holding the shattered remains of his shield while racing into battle with Mjolnir in hand, Captain America was proven worthy of unleashing the power of Thor and he wasted no time in doing so when taking the fight to the Mad Titan.

Marvel's Trinity - Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor - were the last heroes left standing for much of that battle against Thanos and while the villain made short work of them, they gave him a run for his money and proved that they're worthy (there's that word again) of being called Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

It's a great shame that there wasn't enough time to show Captain America teaming up with Bucky on the battlefield and it definitely feels like Marvel Studios hasn't been able to devote as many movies as they probably should have to exploring the relationship between these two in the present day.

Another iconic team-up which didn't make it into the final cut, The Falcon and Bucky will, of course, be teaming up on Disney+ and according to new reports, they will be squaring off with Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo (Sharon Carter will, however, provide backup).

Captain America first lifted Mjolnir in Avengers: Age of Ultron but stopped short in order to protect Thor's feelings (according to the Avengers: Endgame's director and Kevin Feige). The Vision, however, had no such concern and proved himself a valuable member of the team when he picked it up and handed it to the God of Thunder.

Steve Rogers has now passed his shield on to The Falcon and while it was clearly a new version (we don't know if it was the original one rebuilt or just from an alternate timeline), the Disney+ series will presumably deal with how Sam Wilson comes to terms with being the new Captain America.

It's thought that Chris Evans' time as Captain America is at an end and that more than likely means we can forget about seeing him return as a young or old version of Steve Rogers. However, it's believed that he will lend his voice to the animated What If? series Kevin Feige is planning to bring to Disney+ at some point in the not too distant future.

There are a lot of great accessories here and it's cool that this statue is essentially customisable. Personally, I would definitely be displaying it with Cap holding his broke shield and wielding Mjolnir!

So, not a bad piece of merchandise for Avengers: Endgame, right? We'll hopefully see even more of these in the coming weeks but Captain America and Mjolnir definitely appear to be the priority for most companies so far in terms of spoiler-heavy toys and statues based on what we saw in the film.

Aren't the weapons on the wrong hands? In the movie, he has the shield on his left(on your left!), and he wields Mjolnir in his right.

I'm sure mostly everyone around here would get the first part, I'd wager more than a few wouldn't exactly get the second part lol
I've long figured the majority of users on here is easily 35 and under.

god I'm such a nerd to bother asking this question... this detail about the climax of END GAME just occurred to me, if it's maybe a bit of a plot hole. They pretty well established that as far as the QR time travel, the rule was that each trip from one time period to another per person completely used up one vial of Pym Particles. But I can't remember, for the stuff Ant-Man does himself, what's the rate of usage? Can he do multiple shrinks-then-resize per one vial? Or does the transformation from one size to another use up an entire one?
only because, once they're all back to "present day" (2023), after the 2nd Snap is done and Thanos attacks with his army Scott performs at least one shrinking down to Ant-Man, then of course the blowing up to Giant-Man. I don't think we can take for granted that any of the fuel vials that Steve procured from back in 1970 were given to Scott in present day.

@CaptCoulson - Here's what I think:

- One full vial for a Quantum Realm jump.
- one full vial can power Ant-Man or Wasp suits for a while (multiple shrinks and growth.
- Cap took four vials from 1970, he and Tony used one each and he gave the extra two vials to Scott as soon as they got back. Hence, Scott was able to power his suit for the rest of the movie.
- Vial given to Thanos from evil Nebula was replicated by Ebony Maw for the Sanctuary II. If a 1970's earth scientist could replicate it, then certainly Maw could figure out it's composition and replicate it.

CaptCoulson - 5/21/2019, 5:56 PM
@gulducati - oh yeah I think the Russos even spoke on this, it was felt there was a safe assumption that once Thanos took possession of that one vial, his whole team could've reverse engineered to mass produce it.

But even for the 'present day' stuff, I know at the time in 1970 Steve took enough for what he thought to get back to present day and then to return each of the stones when they were finished, but once all the dusted people were brought back and you get to a point after Tony's funeral has taken place, etc, if nothing else it seemed well within reason to me that Hank Pym himself, now being returned to the living, could've produced a bunch more so that Steve had more than enough with which to go on the trip of returning the stones to the past.
gulducati
gulducati - 5/22/2019, 7:27 AM
@CaptCoulson - Yes, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are back, so definitely no particles shortage anymore. Also, Cap didn't know the importance of returning the stones to their proper places at the time he stole the Pym Particles in 1970. In fact, Banner only learned of that importance when he was in conversation with the Ancient One. So I think Steve took four "just in case" since they were improvising at this point. No harm, no foul since Pym was clearly able to synthesize as much as he needed in this time to replace those vials.
CaptCoulson
CaptCoulson - 5/22/2019, 9:28 AM
@gulducati - well and not that it's a big deal, but for that matter, I didn't really get why Steve only took 4 vials from Pym's 70's lab. I believe there were at least twice that many in that big glass housing. Even one missing was going to get noticed and possibly send the whole base into red alert (presumably he and Tony zapped out of there before any were discovered at all) so if I'm Steve in the moment, I grab as many as I can get my hands on. god forbid something happens and they have to wind up taking another trip even further from there.
gulducati
gulducati - 5/22/2019, 9:31 AM
@CaptCoulson - Yeah good point. Also, it seems they don't really need the elaborate Quantum tunnel they built at the compound. All they needed to take their improvised side trip to 1970 was their Quantum suits, their hand time GPS device, and a vial of Pym particles.
CaptCoulson
CaptCoulson - 5/22/2019, 9:49 AM
@gulducati - It's funny you say that cause I just started thinking after I posted my reply, to guard against the concept of simply doing this again from here on out in the MCU to fix something, I wonder if they'll go with the narrative that while other members of the team of course would've gotten to be knowledgeable to a certain degree of the machinations of the time travel as End Game played out, but that with Tony having died the final sort of pieces of the puzzle on how to guarantee you'll successfully do it died with him. I mean, not that using it for any given event would be EASY, not at all, but that theoretically it could be used again, but I'd imagine they don't want that "out" to still exist.

And this didn't fully sink in until after multiple views, but I guess part of the 'science' of how the whole machine worked is that time relative to each of those individual teams going on their missions versus the present day was basically irrelevant. That so like if you'd attached a stop watch to each Avenger and started it from zero as they all dove into the breach, while it seems likely that, say, Thor and Rocket accomplished their task in 2013 Asgard within no more than a couple hours at most, meanwhile the direct passage of time that Tony and Steve were experiencing while on their mission(s) probably went upwards of AT LEAST 6-8 hours, every single team member all still arrived back in the present moment at the exact same time. So it's like time got either scrunched or stretched out per each individual team, depending on the complexity of their task. I think that's pretty damn cool.
gulducati
gulducati - 5/22/2019, 10:04 AM
@CaptCoulson - Yes, what you said about scrunched time is definitely the case. That's why Natasha says "see you in a minute" before they embark on their missions, also Banner says about Cap's returning the stones mission "For him, as long as he needs, for us five seconds." Also evidenced by "good" Nebula getting kidnapped after Rhodey goes straight back - with "evil" Nebula taking a long time to interrogate and steal the device while Thanos takes his time to review all the footage and put his plan in place. Yet, evil Nebula bounces back to the compound at the exact same time that Rhodey does.

As for if the time machine still exists, definitely still does. Steve is sent back at the end via a makeshift Quantum tunnel that they hacked together pretty quickly. Even with Stark dead, we know that he documents everything (just look at all his research recordings and log files in Iron Man 1), and we have Banner, Pym, Shuri, Janet Van Dyne, Bill Foster, and many other big brains to further the research.

CaptCoulson - 5/22/2019, 3:38 PM
@gulducati - oh JFC... I can't believe I had that blatant and giant of a brainfart. I should have to turn in my Marvel fan card after that one... *OF COURSE* the friggin time machine still physically exists after Tony's death, uhh sorta the basis for the whole end of the character arc for Steve Rogers (and I was even the one all proud of myself a couple weeks back for immediately knowing in my first viewing of the film that Bucky was totally aware of what Steve was going to do before he did it, since that was like an 'answer' the Russos felt they needed to give even after and outside of the movie itself)
okay I'm totally taking advantage of the excuse that I got very little sleep last night and have been extremely bothered by a strange and intense sinuses issue lately lol

btw before I finish this one off here, total aside but it's still Avengers related and you're as good a person to ask as anyone.
This video was published a few weeks ago.

A fan who made a *very* comprehensive MCU retrospective in the lead up to End Game, over an hour long. I only discovered it at all a few days ago. But there's audio of a Nick Fury line at the very beginning that I can't identify. I tried leaving a comment on the video page, I thought even to the uploader himself, but haven't had a response yet. Do you happen to recognize it? Because while it's similar in tone and content to things that Nick Fury has said in some of the movies before, he's never said THIS EXACT line in the theatrical cut of any MCU movie. It's not even the same line they put of his in that sort of very first rough Infinity War teaser, the one they played for the audience way back at that big Phase 3 titles announcement back in like 2014 or 15.
My best guess otherwise is it's maybe from like part of the bonus features included on one of the blu-rays (maybe even that first big box set they released of all the Phase 1 stuff including the original Avengers)
But do you happen to know for sure?
gulducati
gulducati - 5/22/2019, 4:07 PM
@CaptCoulson - I do believe this was from promotional teaser before the first Avengers that played just over a title card logo reveal for that movie. That dialogue is lifted right from the comics. It was on the first page of almost every issue of Avengers.

@captquirk - If I recall correctly, it was George Perez art. There is also a huge story behind how long it took for JLA/Avengers to happen. It was supposed to happen a decade before that, but it got mired in some really ugly stuff between the two companies. There was an article written by Marvel in Marvel Age that blasted DC for all the delays, then another one written by DC that took great offense.

@Amplified - Yeah, they did screw that up. Cap is ambidextrous, but in the movie he clearly used Mjolnir with his right hand.
