AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Star Benedict Cumberbatch Teases The "Huge" Scale Of The Marvel Movie

Benedict Cumberbatch will return as the Sorcerer Supreme in Avengers: Infinity War and while the Doctor Strange star won't reveal what the hero will be up to, he does tease the movie's "huge" scale...

Despite reports that a stand-in would be shooting the vast majority of Benedict Cumberbatch's Avengers: Infinity War scenes, he's been spotted on the movie's set a number of times and is expected to play a key role in the battle with Thanos when the Mad Titan arrives looking for the Infinity Stones (one of which is hanging around the neck of the Sorcerer Supreme in the form of the Eye of Agamotto).

In a new interview, Cumberbatch was asked about what fans should expect from the highly anticipated 2018 release and while he wouldn't delve into what Doctor Strange is up to, he did say the following:

"It’s ten years coming. It’s just a huge, huge, huge amount of work, huge amount of storylines and it’s all sort of pointing to this confrontation. It’s amazing to part of it even though I’m late to the party, it’s very cool one to be part of it."

We don't know if Strange is going to appear in Avengers 4 too but chances are Strange is going to have a major part in both movies, especially as it's previously been reported that Marvel Studios envisions Cumberbatch as the new face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Robert Downey Jr. moves on.

Dr Strange was a carbon copy of green lantern and I dont even think that was intentional. Dr strange should be like an entire movie where gandalf goes on his own to do shit. It should have a practical feel.

Marvel is just everything that sucks about hollywood rolled into one. Yea the movies are watchable, but they could be so much better.

to bad its aesthetic is something only a child would fall in love with.

New face of Marvel? Have they even greenlit a sequel?

@ElvenKingSlayer - I-m guessing Strange, T'Challa, Cap Marvel and Spidey will be the main players in phase four.

Strange 2 probably isn't coming until at least mid-2020.
