42 Entertainment May Not Be Back For The Dark Knight Rises's Market Campaign

Batman-News.com is reporting that 42 Entertainment - who worked on the memorable viral campaign for The Dark Knight three years ago - may or may not be back for the film's sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. Movie Viral is also saying that they were contacted by a representative of 42 Entertainment, and here's what they said...

I was just contacted by someone who works with 42 Entertainment who tells me that all the major individuals (producers, writers, etc.) who worked on the Why So Serious campaign are in fact still with the company. Also, although 42E is not currently working on the TDKR campaign, Warner Bros. could still contact them later on. Given that the film isn’t set to release in theaters until July 20, 2012, the studio has some time to decide if they want work with 42E again.

So do you want 42 Entertainment to do the viral marketing for TDKR, or do you want someone else to do it? Anyways, The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012!

Maia ...They had to scale back the Joker marketing after Heath Ledger died...The death didn't have anything to do with the marketing other than them loosening up the focus. What does that have to do with anything?

No one twists your arm... If you don't like it, don't take part in it - simple as that. What gain do you get out of commenting on an article about something you hate?

I thought the marketing campaign was awesome and did it's job - it got people excited about The Dark Knight and teased Heath Ledger's stellar performance, which they were proud of! (For the ignorant people who think that somehow, people only came to see the movie because Ledger died - the marketing campaign was started almost a year before Heath died)

So basically as long as you dont right the word "first" you dont get penalised. Interesting, cockney rhyming slang wins again.
