Hans Zimmer, composer for the critically acclaimed film scores for Chris Nolan's Batman Begins & The Dark Knight along with James Newton Howard, recently chatted with MTV at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards. What he discussed, briefly of course was his third collaboration with Nolan on the highly-anticipated The Dark Knight Rises film.

"Sure, but the thing about Chris and myself is, of course what we try to do is we treat each one with the economy it deserves," he explained. "I try to invent and reinvent and not just go over old ground. I think that's the thing that was so exciting for people on 'The Dark Knight.' They knew we were doing a 'Batman' movie, but they had no idea it was going to be that sort of a 'Batman' movie."

With shooting expected to commence May 6 - November 28 in new locations, as well ones used in the previous Bat movies, The Dark Knight Rises world-wide on July 20, next year.

Zimmer always makes for a stunning score.

I will die happy if Bane is in this, with the Caribbean childhood and all.

Its easy to say Zimmer plays second fiddle to Elfman in batman music. Their both amazing in my book.. Listen to 'I'm not a hero' from the Dark Knight again. AMAZING

I cant wait to listen to James Newton Howards's Green Lantern theme! I have the full confidence he will to the absoltute best of abilities make an amazing score.

Now, Zimmer is usually all over the place. He can make good, bad, really bad, and decent ones. However when it comes to pure talent Thomas Newman is the best maaaan. He did it!

I'm not worried about TDK it's Nolans baby, he'll treat it with care and I'm sure I'll love the movie and the soundtrack the same as Begins and TDK. What I am worried about is marvels Captain America score. It needs to be as Epic as the movie looks, and I hope they stay away from modern songs cuz it just wont work for a period piece.

The composer for The Prestige should have been hired for this last film, I loved his eerie tones in The Prestige! It's weird that Zimmer wasn't doing the score in that film, since he's always doing Nolan's films.

I remember when I heard the score to TDK before the movie was released and thinking "WTF" after hearing the first track. Then when I saw the movie and it all made sense. I loved it. I think Mr Zimmers third score will be a little like Inception. And how weak was it that The Wolverine movie used some of TDK music. It just didn't seem to fit.
