No “Robin,” Falcone and not the Holiday Killer, No one!

Gor-Levitt at the Rumor Mill. Also, Juno Temple: Robin doesn’t have to be called Robin.

Dick Grayson will not be in the upcoming Batman film the Dark Knight Rises. We will see Bat Girl, or a version of bat girl from Juno Temple. What do you call a girl who looks up to, is friends with, imitates and wants to be Batman? BAT GIRL! Will it be similar to Robin type characters of past comics? Yes, probably even playing off of the Batman Robin dynamic, Robin doesn’t have to be called Robin

Who do you put-up as Selina Kyle’s second love interest? Tom Hardy before or during his Bane growth-age, depending on how it is handle? More likely she will be caught between the Bat and a Joseph-Gordon Levitt. Falcone seems good for this, so do most of the rumor candidates. It does seem pretty Nolan to make him little Falcone; I wouldn’t necessarily right it off quite yet. Again perhaps we will not get the Falcone we have been expecting, and that is why we have dueling rumors (remember Robin but not really Robin). It would also be pretty Nolan to make a little Falcone who turns into say the Riddler or the Penguin. As we have been hearing about the Bane character, and if you have researched the character’s history a bit, Tom Hardy’s Bane will be a Nolan creation. It may be inspired by some of the potential of past comics, but Hardy’s description awkwardly fits around only a few of the old Bane storylines.

Finally, there has got to be a Batman Superman connection in the two films, however small, perhaps Gorbad-Levitt’s late and always assumed involvement relates to a small or medium role to connect the to films, in however small a way. And, remember, there is always hope, hope that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will not be in the movie at all!

You make it sound like JGL being involved with this movie is bad thing. what the [frick], pretty sure most people are cool with the idea with him being involved. Yeah it could be batgirl or it could easily be small supporting character like Holly Robinson.

@ Darkmatter LMFAO!!!

First off, we already saw Barbara Gordon, in a cameo, and if Robin isn't going to be in it, what makes you think Bat-Girl is? Do you not know Nolan is still directing this?

Second Falcone as Riddler or Penguin. Again I don't know what Nolan films you've been watching to make you think he'd do that.

Last Superman connecting to this? I don't know if you are going to get that this is the Nolan verse, and that is in no way realistic.

Things should get worse in Gotham not better as far as the villiany goes. Catwoman sounds like things are going to be really relaxed in the next movie for The Dark Knight. Hopefully Bain is a smarter version of himself instead of the mindless brute he is always portrayed as. I think that this batman doesn't have a boy wonder. Things are way to serious in Gotham with the crime, death, and corrupt law enforcement to involve a child or teenager.

I also think that the Robin in the new Young Justice cartoon is too cool. He should get his own comic, cartoon, or Movie. I would like a cartoon though!

juno temple is the perfect looking harley quinn
nolan said the joker will not return (in person)
but he never said that the char. is dead or ignored in TDKR.

scarecrow was a midcard char.. so nolan put him in a sub plot (the batman imposter scenes)and jailed him after all..but his char had a good development between BB and TDK.
the joker is a high class char...maybe he leads us into the TDKR
his link from arkham to gotham could be juno temple as harley...and bane could be his final ace in the hole

Me too Corndog, extreme facepalm.

@cigbreath...do you do any research at all before writing this stuff or is this simply the musings brought on by illegal drug usage?

Lets turn the clock back
when did Chris Nolan announces that the Joker will not apear in TDKR
befor or afte the outstanding performance of JGL in Inception?
after Inception hits..everyone associate JGL with Heath Ledger
possibly even Chris Nolan.

now JGL was casted for a roll in TDKR and all logical rolls were negated after a while[Black Mask, Alberto Falcone, Deadshot and so on] did Nolan changed his mind about the roll of the Joker or the Riddler?
The Joker had the most impact on Gotham and Bruce' life
he should leads us into the events of TDKR like he signalizes himself in the end of BB

and is it confirmed that bane is the mail villain?

i had an idea how the Riddler would fit in the sequel
he should be an intermediate agent...[the audience should only see his hands or reflections in windows, pc screens etc...]
in the first half of the movie he could receive a joker card with a jester on it which has a banelike facepaint..and the intermediate agent [Riddler/JGL] scrawls a question mark on the card.

i picture Sopranos' James Gandolfini as the perfect Black Mask.

as for JGL...i don't really care if he's in or out. i ain't too crazy bout the kid. to me he just doesn't fit playing a tough guy of ANY sort, much less a gangster. UNLESS...he does some extreme physical transformation.

however, i can totally picture him as The Riddler, although, i'd rather have another Nolan-alumn, GUY PEARCE, taking the job.

Robin Williams might make an interesting Penguin, while the role of Hugo Strange can go to AL PACINO!
