That's right, Variety are reporting that Rob Brown of Coach Carter fame has joined the cast of The Dark Knight Rises, although it is unclear what role he will play.

That's right, Variety are reporting that Rob Brown of Coach Carter fame has joined the cast of The Dark Knight Rises, although it is unclear what role he will play.



Just when we thought the casting news for The Dark Knight Rises was pretty much over we have this.

Rob Brown has joined the cast of "The Dark Knight Rises." Brown past credits include "Finding Forrester" and "Coach Carter." He is repped by WME and Affirmative Entertainment.


Interesting news, but I will try to keep on top of it an once we find out what role he has you will hear it first on CBM!

To me this seems quite late in the day to be adding any of the core cast members as we have already seen a lot of action from the set so I am guessing his role will be small.

@BatSlam First off just because he is cast during filming doesn't mean they are writing the script as they go. It just means they are casting actors as they are filmed. Why cast someone that isn't in the principle cast, before their scene is filmed?
Secondly this guy could be playing anything, just because he is cast, doesn't mean it is an important role. He could just be a random cop, or thug..

Call me crazy but Nolan might be pulling an "Arkham City" move and using those last minute actors as cameos for villains that we didnt get a chance to see. Seeing as how its the "grand finale" and all.

I'm sure his role and performance will be more substantial in this film than Terrence Howard and Don Cheadle were in those glorified Avengers trailers.
