The Dark Knight Rises is a superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third installment in Nolan's Batman film series, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). The Dark Knight Rises is intended to be the conclusion of the series. It stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman. The film will take place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight and will introduce the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively—two villains from the Batman mythology.

The last one is the best one, but even that isn't enough...the city skyline just doesn't blend well with the Batman silhouette. Same goes to all the above posters, but the last one is the least "problematic", IMO.

Don't get me wrong, the art and concept are awesome. (I want the villains line-up, with the red background, to be a standalone banner.) Just that one little problem that unfortunately is pretty damn significant.

I like the first one a little ... but I hate Mondo. They show you an awesome design, then print 40 of them for sale. So, you'll never own one unless you want to pay $200 for it on Ebay. (Honestly, I have no idea how many the print.. but the "good" ones sell out immediately)

So I've finally watched TDKR. I enjoyed it, about as much as I did TDK. However, among the 3 movies, I enjoyed Begins the most because it felt closest to the comic-books. And out of those 3, TDK felt the least like a CBM(but I loved it because of the Joker). On the other hand, TDKR falls in the middle between the first two movies.

As a fan of the comic-books, I have a few gripes against the movie, but overall, I find it very much enjoyable. I'd give it an 8.5/10, same as TDK, while BB gets 9/10 from me.

The artwork has a very Tim Sale feel to it. Especially the one with the pearls.
