New TDKR Bonus Features Clip Reveals Tom Hardy's Preparation To Play Bane New TDKR Bonus Features Clip Reveals Tom Hardy's Preparation To Play Bane

A new clip from the bonus features for next month's home video release for The Dark Knight Rises has been released, and it goes over Tom Hardy's weight gain for the role of Bane and more.

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD December 4th.

Didn't realize this was a bonus feature. Hopefully I can avoid these until the film is released.

I thought Hardy was amazing as Bane, but I would honestly prefer to see Hathaway or Caine get Oscar recognition.

Hathaway will get an Oscar nomination, but for Les Miserables most likely.

He was great in this movie but in no way does he deserve an oscar.

@stormlogan
Heath Ledger is still the best villain in CBM history.

He was increasingly demoted to a puppet after so much anticipation, and rising action. It felt anticlimactic.. Now so was loki in the avengers but that was less tolerable with the direction the avengers took.

He was good.. But certainly not Oscar worthy

Darth Vader is the Emperor's puppet. Does that make him any less badass?

Loki wasnt acting under Thanos' orders. Loki made a bargain with The Other and Thanos where Loki agreed to retrieve the Tessaract/Cosmic Cube and bring it to them in exchange of using the Chitari army for helping him conquer the planet Earth. Whereas "Bane" turned out to be an henchman underboss of sorts for the League of Shadow headed by Talia Al Ghul.

Nice try.

if they wanted to give an oscar to a glorified henchman impervious to pain, with a ham-fisted evil plan involving a nuclear bomb that at he end is nothing but the puppet of the hot girl with daddy issues looking for revenge... they should have given it to Robert Carlyle when he played the same character (minus the cheesy outfit and cartoony voice) in the world is not enough.

sorry, but "darth connery" wasnt as good as some nolanites want to convince the world it was.... also, after leaving batman in an prison with an open exit in the same cell as the guy that could cure him with some magic backrub, he also deserves the award for the dumbest comic book villain ever

That is what makes the character unique. Bane will be remembered, no one gives a shit about Loki.

His performance will never ever be recognized!

As per "standards"; his face was covered; so no praise for him!
Same shit for Andy Serkis for Golloum & apes performance!

His performance was just about as great as Heath's!

Tom is Alive & his face was covered; oh & the voice was mumbled!

For me he was as fun to watch as Heath!
maybe 1% less!

His effort & dedication was to be applauded!

@ LEVITIKUZ

bane had a gang of followers as well, loki needed an army because thor defeated him on his own & this time he was taking the avengers(five extra heroes)

-bane(& followers) vs batman(selina kyle & gotham police department)

-loki(& army) vs thor,hulk,captain america,iron man,hawkeye,black widow & agents of s.h.i.e.l.d.

loki killed 80 people as well hence the adopted line from thor.

Good. Fanboys take their comics way too seriously. You change one thing and they flip the [frick] out. I happen to like artistic licence with the characters.
