Black Adam is set to hit theaters later this month, and the TV spots are becoming more frequent. This latest teaser spotlights quite a bit of new footage of Dwayne Johnson's Man in Black in action, as members of the Justice Society do their utmost to bring down the mega-powerful anti-hero.
We've been hearing rumors that Henry Cavill might show up as Superman in the movie, and even Johnson himself has hinted that a few surprises could be in store. Now, a couple of fairly reliable insiders are claiming that the Man of Steel does infeed make an appearance.
According to MyTimeToShineHello, "Cavill is back, he has the classic suit with the John Williams score, and says 'we need to talk, Black Adam.'"
If true, it sounds a lot like the film's post-credits scene, but that hasn't been clarified just yet.
Cavill's return shouldn't be taken as a sure thing, of course, but this account (as well as a few others that have weighed in) has been spot on several times in the past.
"From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods— and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."
Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (the Mamma Mia! and James Bond franchises) as Dr. Fate.
Black Adam will be released nationwide on 21st October 2022 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
