Chris Evans Shares His Thoughts On CAPTAIN AMERICA Being A Mentor For SPIDER-MAN

Hit the jump to find out what Chris Evans had to say when asked whether Steve Rogers will serve as a mentor to Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War! Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth reveals whose side Thor would choose in that battle, but beware of possible spoilers for Avengers: Age of Ultron...

Despite the fact that he starts out on Iron Man's side in the Civil War comic book, Peter Parker later defects and joins Captain America. It's not clear whether that is going to happen in Captain America: Civil War next year or just how large of a role he'll even have, but Chris Evans talks in the video below about how he would feel about taking the young Spider-Man under his wing as Steve Rogers. Chris Hemsworth meanwhile reveals that Thor would probably choose to side with Captain America because of how things are left between the God of Thunder and Tony Stark in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Cap is te ultimate teacher and mentor. Both stark and Cap mentor spidey in the civil war arc, but to us teaching fits more along the lines of he and spidey being science aficionados. Cap can really teach spidey how to be a hero, how to really value morals and principles that heroes should. he's the best guy to teach spidey about more responsibility and freedom. I also think Cap' death in infinity war would leave a big impact on everyone and primarily spidey if he and Cap developed a great relarionship. It would catapult spidey to be a great avenger and hero....a future leader of the mcu.

i want to see spidey play the role of hulking (when he was pretending to be pym) that is to betray tony in the final fight then tony takes control of the iron spider suit. then tony fights cap and BP fights the iron spider.

Science Bros. vs. Bros Bros: Dawn of Dick-Measuring.

Toss in a Cumberbatch / Hiddleston team and Tumblr will riot.

TheDemonsHead - While I like that idea, I don't think they would use The Amazing Spider-Man for their first MCU Spider-Man movie or any subsequent movie for that matter.

@soforizo - Spidey is going to get a solo movie after Civil War. Is it not ok that both Spidey and Batman don't get solo outings before being introduced into their shared universes? I don't see why this is depressing?

I'm glad we have the videos to watch, because the article itself is a complete fabrication of what Chris Hemsworth actually says.

@TheNewDay

Everyone keeps talking about how they want to "diversify" Peter Parker, but how come that always has to mean making him black? Why can't we get an Asian Spider-Man...racist!

@TheNewDay we get it, man.

@MPambassador i agree. kinda. i would like to see primary characters' backgrounds kept fairly consistent with their original incarnations. but if they were to hypothetically change Peter Parker's for the sake of diversity there's zero reason why it shouldn't be to Asian, or to Middle Eastern, or to Indian, or to Native American....
kinghulk
kinghulk - 4/15/2015, 12:04 PM
Jordanstine- i bunch of people on different sites i visited that where posting spoilers have claimed that one character hints that the character might not actually be dead, cant really say anything else without going further into spoiler territory. but it means if true there is a chance for them to bring the character back.

I'm so excited for civil War, but we'll have to see what happens during avengers 2. Can't wait to see what they have stored for spider-man.
