Jeremy Renner Confirms Who He's Siding With In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

While it was never really officially announced (nor confirmed) who Hawkeye was siding with in Captain America: Civil War, Jeremy Renner while attending Wizard World Comic Con Chicago revealed that he's siding with the Soldier, Captain America! "I don't know; they wrote me in that side, it made sense to me." Renner said regarding his character being on Team Captain America.

This was previously reported as a rumor from Heroic Hollywood, and some fans speculated this after seeing a set photo of Renner wearing a hat labeled "Team Captain America." All in all, we now have official confirmation that Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye WILL side with Captain America in upcoming film, and he will not turncoat! At least I think he won't..."Maybe I switched sides!" Renner jokingly said afterward.

What do you think? Will Hawkeye and Black Widow remain friends after this? Will Iron Man get an arrow in his armor's head? I'm sure we'll find out the answers to all of this soon enough! Sound off below with your thoughts!

The important news here is that Black Widow is now confirmed to be on Tony's side, since we know her and Hawkeye are on opposing teams.

I wonder how this fits with what was seen in the D23 trailer...
"Are we still friends?"
"Depends on how hard you hit."

It never made sense to me why Clint would be on Iron Man's side because with the registration he would have to out his family. But it sort of makes sense if Widow was the double agent we've heard RUMORED about (and maybe she's a double, double agent or it's someone else entirely) and is really on Tony's side because in Cap 2 she dumped all of SHIELD's files so all of the information for the registration would be there so she already sort of helped that cause. But she is such good friends with Clint and his family (his daughter asked for her and they named their second son after her for crying out loud!!) and I can't think of any world where she would intentionally do anything to endanger them.

Or maybe Clint was the double agent and Jeremy Renner just spoiled that by revealing who's side he's really on!

We'll all see in about nine months!!

How can they possibly have either BW or Hawkeye as double agents? There is no way the other characters would not suspect it from the start and it is just too obvious for the audience. I can't see them fighting each either, not with serious intent. Maybe they will play it so that they effectively cancel each other out, they can stop and have a cup of tea or an arm wrestle whilst the others go for it.
