We may know the majority of who's in Captain America: Civil War, which started filming earlier this week, but there are a few superhero appearances that have yet to be confirmed. One of them being Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, who will debut in Ant-Man later this summer, and is rumored to take on the Giant Man form in Civil War. The actor was attending CinemaCon when someone asked if he'll return as Ant-Man in the 2016 Marvel threequel. "Um...I don’t know," he replied with a smirk, similar to when he initially denied being cast as the size-shifting superhero. As for an appearance in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War, Paul Rudd said, "I'm trying really hard to make my case for it."

Meanwhile, another star of the  Marvel Cinematic Universe who is said to make an appearance in Captain America: Civil War, but has played coy about it, is Jeremy Renner. However, the Avengers: Age of Ultron standout has finally admitted to Clint Barton aka Hawkeye's inclusion during an interview with Uproxx sometime last week. "They start shooting soon, [and] I start toward the beginning of it," Renner revealed. "That’s going to be a giant movie, Civil War, man." About the many heroes involved, he said, "It's Kind of [like an Avengers film], yeah. A little bit. A little bit."

If Ant-Man really does appear in Captain America: Civil War, perhaps we'll finally get see that super-cool team-up with Hawkeye where the archer gives the pint-sized hero a ride on one of his shooting arrows (as pictured above). Anyhow, check below for the full Q&A with Paul Rudd, where you can see how he responds to questions of Ant-Man's future appearances among other things.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

If Civil War turns out to be a great movie, Cap's gonna have a solid trilogy on his movies

Right Axe, Cap will probably have the best trilogy by far...think he's already leading by a good margin now, with the first two!

The Captain America trilogy has the potential to be the strongest. Iron Mans started well but faltered in the middle, the third one provided some redemption. Thor's is the weakest of the solo's so far.

I'm in agreement. Captain America could arguably have the best cbm trilogy to date. Civil War is going to have to deliver, which it sounds like it will.

Sorry no team up because these two are going to be on opposite sides.

Like you guys are saying, if Civil War knocks it out of the park, Cap could have the best trilogy of ANY hero. If he can manage to avoid the third film curse that plagued Spider-man, the X-men, Iron Man, and The Dark Knight films.

Hulk's is the weakest by far. He only has one crappy solo movie. I know it has to do with studio issues, but talking about which avenger has the worst solo movies, Hulk wins by a landslide. And it shouldn't be that way.

Nice teaser image! Can't wait for Civil War, especially after seeing Age of Ultron.

This is like the only movie that I've seen both heavy Marvel and DC fans unite together to support. History in the making. :)

At its worst, I feel like Ant-Man will be cliche like Iron Man 2, but with enough creative special effects and fight scenes to keep audiences engaged.

"It's kind of [like an Avengers film], yeah. A little bit. A little bit." Avengers as in the new roster + Stark and Clint? AOU could barely balance all of its characters. How are they going to balance "Avengers 2.5"? I'm still of the opinion that Cap 3 should have dealt with Strucker, Zemo, etc., while 'Civil War' should have been reserved for Avengers 3 pt. 1 and 2. Especially since Phase 3 will be adding a lot of heroes to the mix (and more, if you include the Defenders and AOS' Inhumans), it would have made sense to wait and do a proper Civil War story when they had a lot more characters to work with. Now, it'll just be an intra-Avengers conflict.

People try to condemn this film for being like avengers 3 but RDj has said it's a captain america story at its core. It's about everyone looking to him for what to do, what's right. The whole world cares about caps opinion. How does cap help his friend bucky find retribution...how does he handle seemingly turning against the world in favor of his principles and beliefs.. fight for what's right. It's about a man and his reolsution to not waiver in the face of the world faltering under pressure ( superheroes and accountabilty). He knows being a hero means paying a price, the destruction and casualties. He will not waiver and let his freedom to protect and serve willingly be taken

@DerekLake- I agree; I think they are rushing too fast to get to Infinity and the product will suffer as a result. CW would have been more of a natural evolution of the story to be followed up with Infinity. But honestly, we're seeing CW and Infinity on the big screen. Never thought that would happen in my life time.

@lawndart marvel knows what they're doing. The Russos are helming and I feel like they will put a different spin on it than whedon. Russos have a different style and approach. They've said its the tone of TWS still intact. that fits with cw and it's kind of superhero political type story. It's a thriller somewhat with some heroes being on the run possibly. Russos work well with that. It's still caps story at the end of the day. It's about him leading and not wavering in the face of fear. The world has fallen prey to guilt and Tony as well. He knows the price of war and being a hero and that means having accountabilty but never giving up. He won't move for the govt. Won't let his freedom to choose to protect the world be taken by registration. He's the one everyone is looking too

It's interesting how many comments you see on many articles here that are essentially people showing off their knowledge of comics continuity, but at the same time they are revealing their ignorance of the movies.

Civil War (the movie) won't be like Civil War(the comic story). Just let go and enjoy how the new story unfolds.

Civil war is a logical atep. Marvel HD had 11 films to build to it. It's a loose adaptation though so, can compare to much to the comics arc. They are only borrowing the registration concept

The first Avenger, the best Avenger. 3 for 3. It could surpass TDK trilogy if done right
