PHOTO: Will Leslie Bibb Reprise Her IRON MAN Role In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?
After she did a spread (and a story) on Tony Stark in two Iron Man movies, Vanity Fair magazine (or Daily Bugle?) reporter Christine Everhart (Leslie Bibb) is seemingly making a comeback. Check it out!
It appears the ensemble cast of Captain America: Civil War just got a little bigger with Iron Man 2 actress Leslie Bibb now implying that she will be returning as Vanity Fair magazine reporter Christine Everhart. It was probably overlooked by the big news that Tom Holland will be playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Bibb posted a photo from her makeup/costume chair on Instagram yesterday with a caption that reads: "everheart...fun day at work today... #marvel." The actress din't specify which Marvel Studios project that she's working on, but the much-anticipated Captain America threequel is the only one that's currently filming.
Despite debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a Vanity Fair reporter, Christine Everhart's original occupation in the Marvel Comics was ironically a reporter for The Daily Bugle, at which Peter Parker has been a longtime employee. The switch was made evidently due to Sony Pictures holding rights to all things Spider-Man back when Iron Man was released. However, in light of the studio's recent partnership with Marvel Studios, we may see Leslie Bibb's character rightfully as an employee of the Daily Bugle if/when she appears in Captain America: Civil War. What do you think?
Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.
