SPOILER: Which AVENGER Will 'Spider-Man' Take On In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?

We recently found out that Tom Holland flew to Germany to shoot some scenes as Spider-Man for Captain America: Civil War, and now we have details on what's being called a "major showdown" between the Webhead and a prominent Avengers member. SPOILERS ahead!

Aside from the obvious clash between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, we already anticipated quite a few other superhero showdowns in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War - but until now we weren't certain which specific characters would be squaring off. Now thanks to Heroic Hollywood's well placed source, we know of at least one sure-to-be epic showdown.

New Spidey Tom Holland recently arrived in Germany to begin shooting his scenes for the movie, and word is one of those scenes will see him throw down with none other than Captain America!

This makes sense considering Peter Parker is rumored to side with Iron Man for the civil war of the title, but most fans probably wouldn't have expected the Wall Crawler to go straight for the biggest dog in the yard! No details on the tussle are provided, but keep an eye out for set snaps as shooting continues into the weekend.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.

Tony should've called in the big gun and had Iron Fist just punch Cap's [frick]ing head off. Problem solved.

Its going to be a good fight. I see Cap playing a lot of defense against Spidey. He probably doesnt want to hurt him at first.

I was going to try to stay away from this, but clearly the answer is a bit obvious so I hardly consider this much of a spoiler.

On Paper Ironman has the better team right now. If the rumored breakdown is true. HE has Spidey, Black Panther, and Vision, along with himself that's a tougher team. Than Hawkeye,Falcon, and Ant-Man. Wanda is going to have to bring the pain.

Iron Man knocked out the Hulk. He shouldn't have any problem taking down Cap.

I wonder how they're going to balance all these fight scenes while allowing every character to breathe and maintaining the Cap-centric themes and aesthetic, seems like a butt load of troubles but I have faith.

Can anyone tell me why Iron Spider had 3 metal legs instead of 4?

Well, DUH.

Having Spider-Man fight Captain America is pretty much the only reason to have Spider-Man in this movie, considering there's no way he's going to be revealing his identity or anything. Besides, even if it wasn't in the book, Captain America is the only Avenger scheduled to appear in this movie who isn't either too weak or too strong to go up against Spider-Man-- they're both kind of in that mid-level superhuman range that makes them far tougher than a human opponent without being as strong as, say, the Hulk.

But my hat's off to Marvel for doing this, because this fight is going to be AWESOME!!!!! I'm already looking forward to it a heck of a lot more than I'm looking forward to seeing Batman fighting Superman...
