In a new promotional video posted to the official Marvel Twitter account in anticipation of Captain America: Civil War, stars Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. brag about their respective superheroes before asking a “completely random stranger” to choose a side.

That stranger evidently turns out to be the legendary Stan “The Man” Lee, who is asked by the abovementioned Civil War stars to choose either #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan. The comic book creator’s response is not at all surprising, but watch the promo vid for yourself.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo and from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. With an all-star cast that includes Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, with William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.

Every time I see a new article about Stan Lee, my heart races a little because I think something bad has happened.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I feel ya! Maybe it's just me, but it feels like a lot more major celebrities than usual are kicking the bucket this year. I've seen a lot of people suggesting that Stan might join them; I hope they don't jinx him.

I would think Stan would be team iron man, since out of the two Iron man is the one he created, he worked a lot on cap, but he didn't actually create him.

Although I honestly don't know what team I'm on, both make good points.....Well....whatever team has this guy.

Stan Lee has devolved Forman artist to a money grubbing whore. Kind of sad in a lot of ways. I respect what he did but it reminds me of Jared Fogle selling soul to the devil for his personal gain........

@DJThrawn - Did you just compare an old man making money in his retired years to a convicted pedophile?
