While notifying the Community actress about the viral photoshopped image with her donning Captain America's duds (pictured below), in the interim of the Sundance Film Festival, MTV News received somewhat of an update from Alison Brie about past reports which claimed that she's in contention for an unnamed lead role in Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Check it out!
“Many, many a person have sent this [photo] to me on Twitter, actually. I'm impressed with the abs. I'm down with it. Are you kidding? I love it. I'm going to go break Chris Evans' kneecap, because obviously the second-best person to step into that role is me.” Playing coy after being asked if
The Winter Soldier reports are true, Brie says,
“I wouldn't be opposed to it.” About the movie's directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, who she's quite fond of from
Community, Alison Brie shares,
“I'm excited that they're going to do it. I think they're incredible. Everything they do is incredible. It'll be a nice change for those Marvel superhero movies, to have a fresh take on it.”
