CAPTAIN AMERICA: TWS Cleveland Set Report, Photos And Nick Fury's Stunt Double

Captain America: The Winter Soldier has begun filming in Downtown Cleveland this morning. Nearly six city blocks are closed off surrounding the intersection of East 6th and Rockwell.

First thing on the docket was a close-up of a crash scene involving a black (possible S.H.I.E.L.D.) government SUV and a Washington D.C. police car. The cop car was smashing into the driver's side door of the SUV while both vehicles were on rails to control the speed of the impact. Most likely, this was the extreme close up work of the cameras capturing the actual impact of the two.

Nick Fury's stunt double was also spotted on the scene. Check out the location photos below.

More to come from Cleveland as The Daily SuperHero is your on-site source for Captain America: The Winter Soldier filming over the next month-plus.

More scenes like the Avengers Deleted scene where he saves the family in the SUV. [frick]ing jumping over the vehicle, tossing the shield, [frick] Yes!

Also, hope some pics leak of him in an actual Captain America suit and not that piece of shit Colonel/General bullshit suit.

I mean, come on, aside from a patriotic standpoint, it pissed me off in Avengers when he said, "Aren't the stars and stripes a little.... Old fashion?" You're [frick]ing Captain America, who gives a shit.

I mean, remember in that Ultimates issue where the Brit is ripping him a new one for wearing the spangly outfit during an espionage mission and Cap replies about how he's spent 50 years in the ice, he's done hiding? THAT is Captain America.

OK, I appreciate continued coverage on this film, cap is my boy. Seriously though, every time a new comicbook movie gets some sneaky BTS pics, it's always cars and random crew members and construction, I mean, it's not exciting, it's not interesting, unless there is a shot of Cap in his suit or Winter Soldier or Crossbones in their outfits i do not care. We've seen shots of Chris and Scarlet, and Falcon, those were better, Nick Fury's stunt dbl, not bad, but am I the only one whose tired of these shots of random ppl and vehicles?

@TheGambitFreak Captain America didn't mean that HE thought the stars and stripes were old fashioned in that scene. I just finished watching The Avengers again the other day, and he was definitely implying that in the present day, with people so different than how they were during WWII (i.e. lining up to draft in the military, 100 times more patriotic than we are today, etc etc), that the stars and stripes are old fashioned by everyone else's standards. It really wouldn't make much sense for Cap himself to think that the stars and stripes are old fashioned.
