Gotta love that suit (except the masked helmet).

Love the suit and shield, not a fan of the helmet. The eye openings seem to be too big which makes it look like the helmet doesn't fit and is too big. I hope it looks different in the movie

@ THABATMAN - They did make some full metal shield before. They are $300 though.

@Spectre88

The shields made before this are crap compared to this particular shield. I couldn't see a replica of this shield selling for less than $600.

@eoin3: not to mention the fact that you could let ANYTHING touch it, and you'd have to like polish and wax it if you wanted it to look good in public.

@niknik-You took the words right out of my mouth!!However it will work for the film whereas most of the time it will be in light and appear white.

@Jakeroo

Chances are in the upcoming "Avengers" movie, they'll probably update the shield. I know that they're already working on Cap's new suit and I believe it'll have more red, white and blue.

That would be nice for a change. He is Captain AMERICA and he is supposed to be wearing a version of the American flag. All that grey, silver, and brown need to go......along with all the lame hockey pads and useless straps.

This is a comic book superhero for cryin out loud. You can put him a tight fitting uniform and say it has a vibranium microweave in the material that is semi-bullet proof and absorbs impact. No need to dress him up in all that lame padding and make him look like a cheesy clown just to be more "realistic". It's a goddam comic book character.

Microweave anything in the 1940's would be too much of a stretch of the imagination. That suit is supposed to reflect the best they had to offer in WWII for personal protection; leather, steel, heavy canvas and flak armor. Are scale mail and spandex so much better?
