Sam "Falcon" Wilson will reportedly sign up to 'fight the good fight' alongside Captain America in the film's sequel. Of course Cap is a sidekick short following the events of Captain America: The First Avengers and will seemingly be at odds with his former best friend in Captain America: The Winter Solider. Anthony Mackie is in negotiations to star alongside Chris Evans in the sequel, which is being helmed by Community directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Keep in mind that Mackie is currently in negotiations and given Marvel's track record, this is far from set in stone. But at the very least, this casting news reveals that Sam Wilson will be fighting alongside Cap in the film. No details were revealed on the plot but I'd imagine that Sam is most likely going to be affiliated with S.H.I.E.L.D. in some capacity. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has previously stated that Cap will be the only post Avengers film to have a heavy S.H.I.E.L.D. presence.

WTF. ok first of they better make The Falcon a mix of 616 and Ultimate Falcon.

also why they want Anthony Mackie to play The Falcon. with his talent he should be playing Black Panther.

we getting too many black actors playing supporting roles its getting annoying.

i'm not much of a fan of the ultimate universe,i can only read the ultimates,but i must admit the ultimate version of the falcon does look alot better than the 616.

Also, I prefer the Ultimate version as well. The 616 version would look goofy in a film.

also i feel they wasting Anthony Mackie talent to a sidekick to Chris Evans. Anthony Mackie work damn hard he should star in a leading role thats why he should be offer a Black Panther solo movie role.

Ive never seen the appeal of Falcon. Still, Mackie is a solid actor, and it's hard to argue with Marvel's track record. Sadly I think this puts black panther on the back burner (especially where teaming up with The Avengers is concerned), also they said the new cartoon roster is supposed to be more in line with the films I.e. falcon not bp.
