New CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Post-Credits Scene Details

With an obvious spoiler warning, someone who has seen Marvel's upcoming political thriller, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, has revealed a big detail regarding a certain post-credits appearance.

Thanks to the keen eyes over at ComicBook.com, we may have the first bit of details regarding the post (or mid)-credits scene for this summer's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It's no secret that there's a strong word-of-mouth from early screenings of the upcoming Marvel sequel, and it seems someone at Lainey Gossip was one of those lucky viewers. In a post covering yesterday's explosive theatrical trailer, the site first teases that "there’s a big reveal that general audiences won’t see coming," but then suggests "the thing that’s probably going to leave people talking the most is the post-credits stinger." (Spoiler warning) "They’re calling them “The Twins”, the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don’t look like any Marvel heroes we’ve met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men." Basically, Marvel Studios will get the jump on Fox's X-Men: Days of Future by introducing Wanda & Pietro Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen & Aaron Taylor-Johnson, in Captain America: The Winter Soldier before their full-fledged roles in The Avengers: Age of Ultron next year. What do you think?

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

I think the general audience would expect something....'First Avenger' had the Avengers teaser after the credits.....then again, we do have GOTG still to come....maybe an Avengers 2 teaser will follow?

Considering X2, First Class and Wolverine completely outclass every Marvel Studios film except maybe First Avenger in terms of quality I find that highly unlikely.

That's why Joss was so cool when Singer played the game of "I did QS first." He had this ACE up his sleeve the whole time. Now, the post credits stinger of GOTG has got to be Bruce Banner, and a little Hulk action.

Awesome.

While I do enjoy the X-movies, I have yet to see a Marvel Studios film that I didn't like. That being said, I feel like dofp is the make or break movie for Fox's dream of a Shared Universe, which wouldn't have happened if not for the assload the Avengers made

@ekrolo

I'm a fan of X2, 1st Class and The Wolverine, I enjoyed them all....but I don't agree they "outclass every Marvel Studios film"......the 1st Iron Man and Avengers are two of the best CBM made....you are entitled to your opinion though, but that's a bold statement! Other CBM members may not be so kind lol

can somebody explain why can both Marvel and Fox use Quicky?? is it ONLY because he was part of both teams?
ekrolo2
ekrolo2 - 2/3/2014, 9:09 AM
@themidnightking

While I don't particularly care for Avengers, I do agree with you its influence on the other companies has been pretty massive and you're right, DOFP is either gonna make or break the X-Men film franchise. If it ends up being X2 levels of awesome then great, if it doesn't work then FOX really should give up.

Usually I'm not one of those guys clamoring for rights to revert but another X3 level [frick] up is where I draw the line.

Bryan Singer: "Shit! We need to release a trailer with Quicksilver footage right now!"
faver

Fox is putting them in the post-credits scene just to spite Marvel!! They don't play fair!! This movie is going to suck!! They don't have honour!! F**k Singer!! Where's Wolverine's costume?! They ar- Oh wait... it's from Marvel Studios. Great! It's going to be awesome! Fox tried to spite them first! F**k Singer! Go Whedon!

To clarify, I don't really give a s**t about who shows a character first, and I hardly think there was ever foul play in the Quicksilver "situation" from either studio. I'm looking forward to both films.

@TopCat89

It is admittedly a bold statement and I would have thrown in IM1 as a possible film that beats out First Class and Wolverine in terms of quality. But after recently watching it again, it starts out great then gradually declines with the third act being really weak for me.

@neonkid

I don't actually think they really care which is first. Marvel benefits from both franchises, whether directly or indirectly.
JJJameson
JJJameson - 2/3/2014, 9:13 AM
It's not about using costumes similar or not to the comics. It's about capturing the essence of these characters. I'm sure that Joss Whedon will have the spirit of the characters down to their core. As for DoFP, the less said about that embarassing shitfest, the better.
ekrolo2

It cant be any worse than the comic version of DOFP.

I really do hope that DOFP will be awesome, but Singer has directed a few duds recently. I still believe that all CBMs this year will be good though.

Yeah, this movie will own, and Quicksilver and SW will like Fox. It's true.

This is now my most anticipated film this year. Bring it!
