New promotional character banners are now online for Joe Johnston-directed comic book adaptation Captain America: The First Avenger featuring Red Skull, Cap himself and Peggy Carter. Check it out!

Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

It looks pretty rubbery in this picture. Hugo Weaving's trying too hard to be scary here. Doesn't he know it just comes natural with him?

Cap looks good, but the Red Skull poster is pretty shoddy. The way his body is posed (what's up with his hands and why is he tilting to one side?) caused me to think it was fan made so I didn't post it! The mask looks decent enough though despite that plastic shine.

With the exception of Cap's poster, I feel like the other two are kind of cheesy-looking. Red Skull's makeup doesn't look nearly as frightening as it has in other pictures and Hayley Atwell looks like she's modeling her costume for a Halloween store...

Hayley Atwell looks beautiful. Chris Evans looks perfect for Cap but Red Skull ... I just wanna laugh at his rubber head instead of being terrified.

Jesus chill people! The movie is going to be PG-13 so what else you thinked Red Skull would look like?
I would have liked to see more realistic and terrifying version too but this is better than nothing! He is played by HUGO [frick]ING WEAVING so dont worry!

Guys, I just thought of something. What if these posters are just images used for kids merchandise like coloring books and such? I thought we saw images from Thor similar to this style and they were used for children products, but I could be mistaken.

Still, I don't think these can be actual posters that we'll see in theaters. I feel like these aren't nearly professional-looking enough to be used for that kind of promotion.

I dont understand all the hate. I thought that these looked amazing. Besides the peggy carter one. I understand ppl r waiting for a poster with more "flare" to it and another trailer. But these are not half bad honestly.

Eh, not the best pics at allll. Photoshopping is too obvious on Cap.

Not really liking Chris's look, but I think once we see it on film it'll be a whole lot better.
Posters are seriously hit and miss.
