Yesterday was reportedly the last day that Captain America: Civil War will shoot on the African Market set, but some new details  have surfaced about the action-packed sequence filmed on the location. We know from set photos and videos that Captain America (Chris Evans), the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and maybe Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) are battling Crossbones (Frank Grillo) and his HYDRA goons, but scroll down (with a potential spoiler warning) to find out when the sequence will take place and how important it is to the story, as well as how big of role the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will have in the film.

According to Lainey Gossip, who has been nonchalantly dropping some interesting tidbits about the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some time now, the aforementioned African Market sequence is actually the "first big action set piece of the movie [...] that kicks off the Civil War." Apparently, there will be a lot of innocent civilians killed amid the battle between Cap's new Avengers team and Crossbones, which seems to be the "international incident" mentioned in the official synopsis that will ultimately cause the world governments to enforce some control over superhero activity.

About the Winter Soldier, Lainey Gossip reveals that he will be "the touchstone of the conflict" in Captain America: Civil War especially considering secret identities are not as big of an issue in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as they are in the "Civil War" comic book storyline. Many have been wondering just how Bucky will factor into the superhero-packed adaptation, but we know from Avengers: Age of Ultron that he's still being sought out by Captain America. And it's been said that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.)  "may be using the government registration" to also help track down the brainwashed super soldier who assassinated his parents, as revealed in The Winter Soldier.

Furthermore, it was recently reported that the Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will also be hunting down the Winter Soldier for reasons currently unknown, but Lainey Gossip adds that Crossbones also wants the Winter Soldier, or rather his "HYDRA pet," back under his control. The source then dropped this very intriguing nugget: "Civil War is a critical moment for Sebastian Stan and Bucky Barnes—he has to get everyone on his side by the end of this movie, because his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get a lot bigger." Hmmm What do you think?

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

Crossbones loves bringing order, which means he loves bringing pain.

Going by this, one would come to the conclusion that Bucky might be Captain America eventually.

@KurtWagner1225 Loving all the strands and how everything interweaves, the only real wild-card is how Spidey plays into this.

- Stark sides with the government wanting to regulate/registration
- Stark, Rogers, Crossbones and apparently T'Challa are trying to find Bucky
- Bucky's arc being the most crucial
- The new act splitting the team into two factions, while Vision just stays neutral.
- Cap dead? SUP SHARON, SUP ZEMO
- Bucky leading a new Avengers squad leading into Infinity War?

I'm glad Bucky isn't going to die in this movie. Hopefully those big plans for him involve taking up the Captain America mantle after Steve's death.

okay, the amount of characters in the film is starting to make a little more sense, because it felt like there were several story arcs are taking place in the movie that don't seem to have a whole lot of relevance to the registration act, but it seems to be all coming together. The main problem with the huge cast is because i want everyone to have a huge role for different reasons, William Hurt is back as Ross, that is absolutely insane, but there are so many character he needs to have REALLY small role, same goes for Martin Freeman, holy crap! As if he is in the movie, that is awesome, but once again there are so many characters that need to come first. The main characters that need to shine, though, is Cap( of course), Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Iron Man, and Baron Zemo. If they can find a way to give these characters relevance to one other, while also allowing all the side characters to grow, then we should have no problem. Once again, the problem is that there is show much awesome in the movie that people(including me) are bound to be disappointed by, say for example, a lack of hawkeye, or a lack of Falcon, or Vision, you get the idea. But if Russo brothers can balance this behemoth of a movie(regardless if it is Cap focused) then they should have no problem with infinity war given that they will have around 4-5 hours to give the characters equal screentime, or at least give them One moment to shine.

Manthis movie is going to be great. I'm glad everyone's story is going in the same direction. With all the characters in this, it seemed like it would be a little convoluted.

"may be using the government registration to track down the brainwashed soldier for killing his parents."

Just sounds more and more stupid and juvenile the more I hear it. The entire premise will be laughed at if they're dumb enough to go that route. Iron Man does a complete character change and 180 and joins the U.S government after antagonising them for about three films because his parents were possibly killed by a character who's essentially a personified gun and had zero control of what he was doing. Would they dumb down Stark that much? You would expect a "genius" and "intelligent character" to you know, go after the people/organisation who gave the order if he desires "revenge".

Captain America isn't going to be replaced, why would he be?, if they kill off someone it will be Bucky, who's got no mileage outside of this franchise which will be put on ice for a while after the movie.

Well unless Chris Evans signed/signs a contract extension, then it's pretty simple to connect the dots with Sebastian Stan and his eight movie contract.

Cap will probably die but then be resurrected via infinity stones at the end of IW Part 1.

But who needs Cap when you have Iron Fist.

Sounds very cool. The attack on the African market makes sense as its very terroist like in that it's political.

"international incident is a seemingly relatively small or limited action or clash that results in a wider dispute between two or more nation-states. International incidents can arise from unanticipated actions involving citizens, government officials, or armed units of one or more nation-states, or out of a deliberate but small provocative actions by espionage agents of one nation-state, or by terrorists, against another nation-state."

The ultron incident wasn't very significant in terms of international interests as SOKOVIA was a war torn failing nation. This attack could be on the ouskirts of Wakanda or the fact that it's still affecting african people could anger BP. This creates international tension. An international incident usually arises during a time of relative peace between nation-states, and in general is, on the surface, an unexpected event. Avengers are global but they are a somewhat independent force as they are not under one country. The world views them as a separate entity. Terroist attacks provoke war and in this case registraton as the avengers were involved in an incident to Africa, a large nation.

As with its predecessor, the United Nations provides a means by which nations involved in an international incident can work to resolve the matter diplomatically rather than through the use of force. Registration is a diplomatic means of handling this. The avengers need to be controlled in terms of when they act Or are needed.
