Make a Guardians of the Galaxy informational video to get fans ready for the characters and settings. I'm most excited for GOTG this year. It will be the Star Wars of Marvel films. Love these videos!

^^ Too bad Disney decided to cock block it for the Superbowl... Seriously, you acquire a new franchise and you spend your money elsewhere? Promotional ads for GOTG is not looking good. Especially since we haven't even gotten a decent trailer yet... They don't have long.

@0mega Extremely tight shirt wearing Cap?... Hmmm...

Wish granted, hehe... It also looks like we'll be getting more of the "Harvard Hottie" on "Babysitter" action.

Comic continuity following at it's finest.

Yes.... They have until August. But you have to look at the history of things. For example, the Avengers first look hit July 22nd, 2011. And that was to the general public. The Winter Soldier hit in late October I believe and with their April release date.... They're right on schedule. Iron Man 3 hit early on and it became the 2nd highest grossing movie of 2013. Thor The Dark World lacked quite a bit of attention before it's release and I personally believe they hit Marvel where the sun down shine. Then of course you have Dredd, which just.... damn, then Avengers that had arguably the biggest advertising I've ever seen for a film. And so on.... With a cast that is all around, more known, as opposed to the Avengers (I mean come on.... Batista, Cooper, Saladana-ding-dong, Pratt, Close, Diesel, Reilly, Rooker, Toro.... Just to name a few), and the general consensus that GotG is not very well known, you would think Disney would be pressing every button to make sure they don't pull another Lone Ranger or John Carter. But it looks like they're kind of scared to put faith in this project...

I'm pumped as hell for this movie but come on... Gunn and Marvel have done literally nothing to really get us interested. They've only talked about it, praised it, but have no real evidence to support it. I mean seriously? Check out Gunn's instagram. Everyone is always asking when we'll see footage and he just keeps postponing. Why? Give us a crappy look at least. I mean, we just got an official look from the film about a week or 2 ago. I just find it idiotic and faithless not to even so much as give us a glimpse...

And a big part of showing it off as early as possible is that if the reaction is, "Groot looks dumb! Rocket is too big! CGI looks terrible at that scene, etc." They can go fix it. If they wait until let's say May.... Well, then they've got to hurry. Fast.

Gunn confirmed no Superbowl ad will be shown. Which makes me believe we'll have to wait until April for a trailer, which is a stupid marketing decision. I don't know. Maybe I'm just skeptical. But If I was Fiege or Gunn, spending and in charge of a multi-million production, I'd be trying my best to show it off. Not just dodging questions left and right.

And the odd thing is, they keep blabbing about Rocket. The reason for the wait is Raccoon. I'm sure he'd be fine for a 2 minute trailer, ya know?

I don't blame them for not showing anything during the Super Bowl. The exorbitant price for an ad makes it a waste of money.

I'm really surprised there won't be a GOTG trailer shown during the Super Bowl.

I think James Gunn is making a big mistake.

A lot of people watch the Super Bowl. It would be the perfect platform to introduce the GOTG franchise to the general audience.
