The first press screenings for The Marvels took place yesterday evening and that's seen a wave of mostly very positive reactions find their way online. We're also seeing some spoilers floating around on social media as the Marvel Studios sequel has started touching down in theaters across the globe.
It doesn't land in the U.S. until tomorrow evening, of course, and you won't find any spoilers in this article!
Still, we know that many of you will be curious about whether it's worth sticking around once the credits roll. Post-credits scenes have become a staple of MCU movies, though they're also far from a guarantee.
We can now confirm that The Marvels has one post-credits scene. However, if you wait until the very end, there's a sound Easter Egg similar to last week's episode of Loki. It's not really worth sticking around for but could be considered a reward for those of you who want to see the names of those who made this movie a reality.
As for the mid-credits scene, it's a game-changer and not to be missed. A few details have, unfortunately, done the rounds in recent weeks but trust us when we say those don't do what you're about to see justice. It's also going to raise some questions we're hoping will be answered in upcoming MCU projects.
A low-key premiere for The Marvels took place in Las Vegas last night and you can see a few highlights from that below.
In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."
The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.
The Marvels is set to arrive in theaters on November 10.
