Marvel Studios Delays Entire Phase 4 Slate With THE MARVELS Pushed To 2023; INDIANA JONES 5 Also Delayed

Marvel Studios has made some big changes to its 2022 and 2023 release schedule, pulling a couple of untitled movies and delaying everything from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to Thor: Love and Thunder.

Just when we thought all those release date delays had finally ended, Disney has announced a slew of changes that, quite honestly, aren't going to make you happy.

Marvel Studios' Phase 4 slate now looks set to kick off later than expected as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has moved from March 25, 2022 to May 6, 2022. Thor: Love and Thunder has also slipped down the calendar and is now heading our way on July 8, 2022 instead of May 6, 2022.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has lost its summer release date (July 29, 2022) and is going to arrive in theaters on November 11, 2022. That's it for the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year as Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, has been shifted from November 11, 2022 to February 17, 2023

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has also been affected; while it had been scheduled for February 17, 2023, we'll now see it on July 28, 2023. Worryingly, Disney has pulled two "Untitled Marvel" titles from the calendar altogether and those are no longer heading our way on July 28, 2023 and October 6, 2023. However, one of them has shifted from October 11, 2023 to November 3, 2023.

In other news, Indiana Jones 5 has shifted from July 29, 2022 to June 30, 2023. That's not overly surprising after star Harrison Ford was injured on set, but it's obviously still a bummer for fans.

There's a lot to digest here, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has shifted once again. We have no idea what sort of impact this has on those Disney+ TV shows as a slate hasn't been revealed.
