When Jim Lee returns to art duties on Justice League #9, he will be bringing a new villain with him. We have already seen some of Lee's early concept artwork for the still unnamed character, but below we have our first official look courtesy of Carlos D'Anda..

Geoff Johns will be penning the brand new story "The Villains Journey" - I assume in reference to the handsome chap above - beginning in this issue.

Is jim lee REALLY continuing art duties on this ish cuz i heard he was last ish and was dissapointed to find out he hadnt. Comics are $3.99 now which is insane and i pay for story AND art, Jim lee is one of my favorite artists but it is sad that sum artists nowadays cant even put out one book a month back in the day jack kirby was doin about 4-5 books a month.

Looks pretty good. And the title "The Villians Journey"? Ingenious. But the 50% price increase for a bit of Shazam? Not fairly enticing. If I wanted a Captain Marvel comic I'd buy one. So [frick] it. No dice, DC.

looks cool...DC wake up, how about starting the plan and set up for a JL movie now?!

Darkseid would be a great threat to rival the JL now.

I had no idea that high collars were back in fashion. Watch out ladies, I'm bringing back the high collar, 'cause if Jim Lee draws this super new villain with a high collar then it HAS to be back! Damn, I miss the 70's.

Beware of generic 90's bad guy number 72, DC go back 52 is a failure and get rid of those albatross crappy Image characters. I cancelled Justice League when Billy Batson was reimagined as a deliquant.
