While sitting down with CBR, Marvel's Editor and Chief, Axel Alonso discussed why he's excited to have Marvel work with the new Star Wars comics, "To have it return to its comic book home, where we can unleash Marvel's top creators to tell stories that are as relevant to the Lucasfilm mythology as anything you see on the big screen is a seismic event," He then adds, "And an amazing opportunity to reach new fans. We intend to take full advantage of it. "

A little while later, Alonso talked about how he feels about the many different comics Marvel will be releasing this year (Howard the Duck, Ant-Man, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Uncanny Avengers, etc.) "It's the biggest, craziest thing we've ever done, it gives us the creative space to play around with some genres and storytelling styles that we haven't done a lot with recently, and it ushers in a new era in publishing." It seems as thought Axel Alonso is excited about Marvel 2015 comic slate, are you? Sound off below with your thoughts!

I hate it when comics lose all connection with the real world, our world.Being so fantastic i mean.

As Zack Snyder put it:
"I really believe this — and I think it’s obvious — I believe superheroes, they’re our modern myths. They’re our mythology in the modern world, and myth is designed to tell us about ourselves. In the ancient world, a volcano would go off or the stars would fall from the sky, and they would make a myth up around it to help ancient man to sleep at night or understand it, or at least to have a way of dealing with these things that were outside of their control. So, they’d make a story about a god on a mountain or whatever it is. And I think that’s kind of what our superheroes can do for us, they can help us explain our world a little bit."

Sorry for the irrelevance.

Most comics be DC or Marvel are honestly nsut aweful and boring there's only so much you can do after it gets repetitive. Some tines you'll hit a home run but mist stuff nowadays is just awful and uncreative.

The sooner Alonso leaves the better, he had a pretty good start up until after Infinity but ever since that concluded Marvel has become nothing more then gargantuan [frick]ing assholes back stabbing and mass murdering everyone as their only solutions to any problem. Also making a quasi remake of Civil War (the worst Marvel story ever) with Time Runs Out is just a big [frick] you to anyone with intelligence.

I also don't like the fact Marvel gets to reprint ALL of Dark Horses old comics and sell them when they had jack and shit (jack left town btw) to do with them!

Ever since Bendis got his hands on Avengers its all just been a downward spiral with only a few breaths of air before getting shoved back into the shit pile.

I agree. Marvel needs to take a page from DC's book and reboot their franchise.

Quit rebooting, just do an INFINITE CRISIS-esque thing.
